Today I am going to share the recipe of carrot halwa with all of you. This halwa is made only in the winter season, because carrots are available only in the winter season. There are two types of carrots, one red carrot and one black carrot. Black carrots are rarely seen, but red carrots are very easily available in the market.

Today I am sharing the recipe of red carrot halwa with all of you. This halwa tastes very delicious, we make it and store it and can easily eat it for 5 days by keeping it in the fridge. It takes a lot of hard work and time to make this halwa, so its taste is also very good. Everyone in my house likes carrot halwa very much.

This time I made halwa for the first time in the season, because we had a lot of sweets at our place, so no one felt like eating sweets. Now when all the sweets were finished, the children said that mummy will not make gajar ka halwa this time, so I asked my husband to bring carrots.

Ingredients of Gajar ka halwa

Carrot
Milk
Sugar
Desi ghee
Cashews

Method of making Gajar ka halwa

First of all, I peeled all the carrots and washed them with clean water. Then grated all the carrots with the help of a grater.

Then I put the milk to boil in a big pan on the gas. Till the milk was boiling, I put the grated carrots in the cooker and added half a glass of water and let it whistle twice.

So that the carrots boil and it also takes less time to make halwa. Then when the carrots boiled, I put the boiled carrots in a sieve so that all the water drains out and with the help of a spoon I took out some water and when all the water of the carrots was drained out, I put the boiled carrots in hot milk and started stirring it on medium flame.

Halwa has to be stirred continuously so that it does not burn. When all the milk evaporated and the carrots were mixed well. Then I added sugar to it, as soon as I added sugar, it became watery again. Then I kept stirring it gently so that it does not burn.

When all the water of the sugar also dried up, then I added two spoons of Desi Ghee to it. So that the carrot halwa gets shine and fragrance and then I added chopped cashews to it. Our carrot halwa is ready, it looks beautiful and tastes great too.

My children were in a hurry to eat and it was taking a lot of time. So I took some halwa in another pan and made it quickly so that the kids could eat it quickly.
