Budget Tiramisu – My Quick and Easy Dessert

As for myself I do consider myself a sweet lover specifically when it comes to desserts, and outrights favorites include tiramisu. However, to make it easy, affordable and fast, I thought about designing my own tiramisu which I nicknamed Budget Tiramisu. This is very easy to prepare, few ingredients are used in this recipe but the taste tells it all. So, first, let me describe the process in details from which I suppose you can get the idea of how I did it.
🔹Marie Biscuits (or any biscuits which you prefer)
🔹Icing Sugar
🔹 Dano Cream
🔹Whipped Cream (1.5 cups)
🔹Coffee Powder (2 tablespoons)
🔹Vanilla Essence (half a teaspoon).
🔹Cocoa Powder (for dusting)
First of all I used 1.5 cups of whipped cream placed in a bowl. I used my electric beater to beat the cream until it shifted to a lighter color and it fluffy like mud. While flogging in the cream I began pouring in the icing sugar gradually and kept flogging until the sweetness level was ideal. Subsequently, I also put half a teaspoon of vanilla essence into the cream with intention to make it flavorful.
To thicken the cream a little more I added Dano cream into the whipped mixture and whipped it until everything was smooth. And there I had my tiramisu cream for our dessert!
So I took a small bowl and added in it 2 tablespoons of coffee powder and when it was warm added some sugar to make it sweet. These were the right proportions to use in soaking my Marie biscuits to have that right coffee taste without over soaking them.
Now for the fun part! I proceeded to dip every Marie biscuit into the coffee mixture but not for long or it will absorb a lot of the mixture (about 5 seconds), then I layered these biscuits onto a serving plate.
After the first layer of biscuits, I smoothed on a thick layer of the creamy mixture so that its entire surface was covered. I did this again, covering with coffee soaked biscuits and then followed with another layer of the cream. I take three layers of biscuits and cream to ensure that each layer there is a moderate portion of coffee and creaminess.
The moment I had prepared all the layers, then I left my tiramisu to set in the fridge for about 6 to 7 hours. This made the biscuits to absorb all the flavors and the cream to thicken as well to the right texture.
After I had allowed the tiramisu to thicken I squeezed some cocoa powder on it; it gave the tiramisu a good appearance aside from adding the flavor of cocoa to it.
The tiramisu was ready and my cousins where eager to taste it. Instead, they sliced it, before I could capture them with my camera for posterity. However I was quick to capture this and took a picture of the slice relishing each bite!
Preparing this simple and easy to prepare Budget Tiramisu was really enjoyable and the time spent preparing it was literally the shortest. As simple as the taste was, embellished was rich, creamy and right on the dot. It also takes so little effort that this is something I can always throw together if I need a dessert fix in a hurry.
