Recipe Name: "Duck Meat Roast"

Duck meat is a popular food for Bengalis. Especially if the duck meat is roasted in a light broth, its taste increases twice. One of my favourite dishes is roast duck. Especially during the winter days, the duck meat recipe is incomparable, because the meat becomes the most delicious during this time. Today I present to you my roast duck in the recipe of the day contest.

Duck meat roast

Fun fact today, I made my roast duck recipe in the field oven. I took this opportunity as I am currently on vacation at the village house. Here is my cooking recipe step by step:

Field Oven

Ingredients I needed to make this recipe:

Duck meat1 kg
Onion100 gm
Garlic50 gm
Ginger50 gm
Potato250 gm
Whole dry chilies6 piece
Powder Chilli1.5 spoon
Turmeric powder1 spoon
Cumin powder1 spoon
Coriander powder1.5 spoon

Step 01

First, I prepared the duck meat for cooking because duck meat can have dirt if it is not prepared well. Then I chopped onion, garlic, ginger potato etc.

Step 02

Then I lit the stove and placed a pan, when the pan was hot, I added some mustard oil. When the oil is slightly hot, add the chopped onions. After shaking for a while, the onion slices became brown in colour.

Step 03

I mixed the meat well with other spices like bay leaf, long, cinnamon, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, etc., in the prepared meat. Then I added the mixed meat with the oil-onion to a brown colour and mixed well.

Step 04

Then I turned down the heat on the stove and slowly seared the meat. I added a little water while grinding so that the meat does not stick. In about 20 minutes the meats are well done. By then my meats were cooked.

Step 05

In the last step, I added some potatoes along with the minced meat. Because the duck meat is more delicious if a little light is added to the roast. Then I mixed the potatoes well with the meat and added a small amount of water. Then reduce the heat of the oven for another 20 minutes.
