Media Freedom in Your country

Assalamualaikum to every steemian who belongs to this society.Today the topic of discussion is media's freedom in my country.Being a Pakistani I must say media should be free and play it's constructive role.Before coming to the point I would add some arguments or questions.Firstly if media is free than what could be the situation of it's county?The other thing when media is under great stress what could be the situation of it's county? Lastly I shall discuss negative role of media taking advantage of freedom and do wrong propeganda.
First I would discuss role of media in freedom.When media is free it performs it's duety honestly.Covers news and events from all corners of the country and also international news , events and happenings.From this aspect media give reporting on every issue.It reports without the influence of well known celebrities.It reports according to happenings and tell the facts which are are real.Instead of making fake headlines and breaking news .The freedom of media nessaory for the existence of society as oxygen for life.This is because when fake news are spread and people will be unaware from the facts.As a result they remain ignorant and leave miles away from modern society. Media's freedom play an important role in educating people.It makes people accountable upon nation which elected them with the power of vote.Media should share only positive things and enhance the positivity.
Now I will discuss the situation when media's freedom is restricted.In these circumstances media could not play it's constructive role.Its under the influence of powerful authorities like president,prime minister,army chief and other powerful authorities which can't be describe here.They run the media according to their own interests.They control each and everything.But some brave people couldn't stop to speak truth.As a result they take actions and kill them in order to pursauve their targets .Thera are many jurnalits in history of not only pakistan but also in many countries. Journalism is the sign of freedom of speech when people don't have freedom of speech than it couldn't be journalism.It would be blackism.
Third point is the negative role of media instead of freedom perform illegal activities.When there is no check and balance media and particularly some journalists started to perform illegal activities.They started to spread false news .They started to get bribe and don't unweil the real aspects of matters.Such journalists in local language are known as LIFAFA SAHAFI. They should be deal aggressively and must mend their way.
Now I want to talk freedom of media in Pakistan.I can't tell a lie by saying media is totally free.Media is under the influence of government and other powerful authorities.Media reports for only such things which are given by them from them.Media share only those happening which are assigned by those authorities even they don't belong to real happenings. The man who stands against them they remove him like hair from butter.Now a days there is a greay violations ofhuman rights on mass scale but media is silent like innocent baby boy.This is very shameful and also a question mark on media.Sometimes I remain stunted on such situations that how media could be silent.Media should use use it's power of speech.International media is also covering the happenings occuring in Pakistan but why local media is silent.
At the end I am concluding by saying with these words that media is responsible for every act if it doesn't do anything for humanity it must must quit and move forward.
