_{On duty at the maternity ward}

Hospitals can be defined as a place where people go to receive medical treatment and health care. It is like a health center. It is a medical facility that provides care including diagnosis, treatment,and surgery.
Hospitals have trained medical practitioners and equipment to treat a wide range of disease, illness, sickness and injuries.
Most hospitals have emergency departments where patients can get immediate care for life threatening conditions. Many hospitals also have research facilities, where new treatments are cured.

A hospital has a wide variety of specialists like doctors with different areas of specialization, Nurses, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Microbiologist, Radiographers e.t.c. and other medical professionals. We also have different hospitals owned by different people, we also have government hospitals and missionary hospitals which is owned by a church.

We can find a lot of things in the hospital but I'll list a few;

Operating Rooms are also called Theater: This is a specialized room where surgeries and other critical medical procedures take place.

Pharmacy: Hospitals usually have an inbuilt pharmacy where patients can get their prescribed medications especially to avoid getting fake, expired or adulterated products.
Laboratories: Hospitals have laboratories where diagnostics, test and analysis are conducted to know the cause of a sickness and the possible treatment and right approach in treating it.

Emergency Room: The emergency room is where urgent cases and patient with critical needs are kept for proper attention and treatment.

Maternity ward: Antenatal is where pregnant women are kept and taken care of before they give birth. When are delivered if their child they're are then taken to the post natal ward for post natal care. They are all under the maternity ward.

Coming to equipment you can find

• Oxygen cylinder which is used to supply oxygen to patients.
• Ambulance for transportation of patients.
• Bed for the patients to lie on.
• Computers and registers for taking and keeping records
• Drip stand where drips are hung.
  
  When last did you go to the hospital and why?

As a medical practitioner a nurse to be precise I work in the hospital so I visit there everyday except I'm on official leave and I really love my job because I'm so passionate about saving lives and I'm so keen to proffer solutions to people's problems health wise which is why I'm so delighted about my profession.
As a nurse I work everyday from even though we operate on a shift sometimes I'm on afternoon shift or morning shift or even night shift and I report quite early to my duty post in order to attend to my patients.

I'm also a midwife so I assist pregnant women in delivery and also help look after the baby while in the hospital. If I'm given the opportunity I'll still choose nursing because I do the job with so much ease being that this is what I was passionate about right from childhood.

If all the Steeminans were doctors I would love my family doctor to be @patjewell because she is very caring and compassionate and she pays keen attention to people's challenges and tries to proffer a solution.
