Weekly Drawing Contest || Week-38 || Draw Sugar Palm Fruit
First of all, I would like to thank @enamul17 brother for organizing the art contest this week as well, like every week. This week's art topic was sugar plum fruit. So I also did the same art. I did a whole sugar plum fruit and a half part and also did some leaves of the tree. Below is my art process explained step by step.
- A paper
- A pencil
- Colour Pencil
- A raber
- Eraser
🟤 Step 01
First, I drew a border around a white piece of paper with four dots. Then, in the middle left corner, I drew a round circle the size of a sugar plum fruit.
🟤 Step 02
Then I drew three dots on the top of the circle, which are the spots on the sugar plum fruit. These are the peel of the fruit.
🟤 Step 03
Then I drew half of another round sugar plum fruit on the right side.
🟤 Step 04
Then I drew some leaves on the top between the two fruits.
🟤 Step 05
Then I drew three seeds on half of the sugar plum fruit, because there are three or four seeds inside it.
🟤 Step 06
Then I painted the top bark green and applied a light green coating on top. I also painted the leaves of the tree green.
🟤 Step 07
Then I painted the middle part of the sugar plum fruit black on top, brown in the middle, and orange on the bottom. I left some space around it.
🟤 Step 08
Then I painted the upper part brown and the lower part orange and mixed black and brown very darkly. Finally, I wiped it off with a tissue.
🟤 Step 09
Then I painted the three sides of the sugar plum fruit orange and yellow. And I mixed black and brown colors on the bottom.
🟤 Step 10
I colored the middle part of half a sugar plum fruit with a yellow-like clay color. And I colored the center of the fruit orange.
Finally, I took a selfie with my art in hand.
✅ Are you familiar with this fruit? Is this fruit available in your country?
Yes, I am very familiar with this fruit. It is known as tal in our area. I have been eating this fruit since childhood. Especially, pitha is made with the juice of this fruit in our house and in our area. After extracting the juice of this fruit, the seeds of the fruit are buried in the ground. When the seedlings of the tree come out from them, they are picked up again and the seeds of that fruit are eaten. Many people plant the seedlings of the tree again. Yes, this fruit is available in our country. This fruit is available in almost every village in Bengal. If there are these trees on both sides of the road, then the beauty of that road also increases a lot. This fruit is available in almost every place in our country.
✅ Have you eaten this fruit yet? How much is it worth in your area?
Yes. I have been eating this fruit since my childhood. This fruit is available in every market of our country during the season of Sugar plum fruit and we eat it. When it is raw, the fruit can be cut and its seeds can be eaten. Again, when the fruit is ripe, its juice is used to make pitha. I have been eating pitha made with the juice of this sugar plum fruit since my childhood. However, I have been eating the seeds of this fruit since I was in class 5. Even now, the seeds of this fruit are sold in the market. Those who sell it make quite a profit. The price of this fruit is given below.
Fruit name | Quantity | Price in Bdt | Price in Steem |
---|---|---|---|
Sugar plam (Ripen) | 1 | 40-50 | 1.47-1.84 |
Immature sugar plam seeds | 1 | 10 | 0.37 |

@simonnwigwe thanks for your support.
Your drawing of palm fruit is amazing. Your patience and thoroughness in every step is impressive. The blending of colors really brings a touch of realism especially when painting the colors of the fruit and the leaves. Your personal experience with taal and details of its usage have also been very nicely brought out. Your art and description skills are really appreciated. Looking forward to more great work in the future. Good luck.
