I'm participating in this amazing Contest organized by @aaliarubab talking about "The Digital Connection & influence of devices in our lives". I believe it's going to be a lovely journey going through my blog.

What is the role of digital devices in your life in this technology-based era?

In this technology-based era, digital devices play an integral role in our lives. Digital devices such as laptops, smartphones, desktops, and tablets. They've become part of our lives to help us in our daily lives for work and education, allowing us to access information, connect with others, and stay organized. Especially smartphones have become my primary communication tool not just for me but for everybody, from making calls, sending and receiving messages, browsing the internet, and managing our schedules. I think without digital devices in this technology-based era life would have been more difficult.

Let's compare 1900's and 2000's technology.

Let's take a look at the differences between the technologies of the 1900's and the 2000's.
One of the greatest differences is the advancement of computing technologies. In the 1900's computers were huge and expensive machines only accessible to a few individuals. But in the 2000s computers became smaller, cheaper, and more powerful. This caused widespread computer usage in schools, homes, and businesses.
Another big difference is the advent of the internet. In the 1900's there was no such thing as the Internet so information was only accessed through print media like newspapers and books. The internet made it easy for us to access a vast amount of information instantly from anywhere at any time.
And also the development of smartphones, tablets, etc.

Review any of the three, digital devices that you use in your daily life. (Only pictures captured by you)

1. Flash drive
IMG_20240406_184800_467~2.jpgFlash drives also known as USB drives or thumb drives, are very small, portable devices, that are used to store and transfer data. They're very handy because they're small and light, it does not need an external power source so they're easy to go to. Flash drive are very fast and can store large amount of data making them the best option for backup affordable convenient, and effective cost-free ways to store and transfer data. It has its disadvantages, it can be easily damaged, etc.

2. A desktop Keyboard
IMG_20240406_184744_315~2.jpgA desktop Keyboard typically has a different number of keys such as letter keys, number keys, function keys, and special keys like escape key and control key. Most keyboards have a num pad, which is a set of number keys for calculation and data entry. Some keyboards also have backlighting making it possible to be used in dark places. And a lot more.

3. Point of sale (POS) machines
IMG_20240406_184823_606~2.jpgPoint of sale (POS) machines are devices that allow businesses to process payments, track inventory, and manage customer data. They come in a variety of forms such as touchscreen terminals, cash registers, and mobile devices. They're typically connected to a computer system that runs the POS software. This software allows businesses to keep track of sales, discounts, inventory, and taxes. It allows easy customer tracking and loyalty programs. They're used by both small-scale businesses like retail stores and also big chain stores.

What's your recommendation after using that device?

Well, let's start with the POS machine. Based on my analysis, I recommend that businesses use a POS machine that is cloud-based and can be accessed from any device, such as a tablet or smartphone. This will give them the flexibility to manage their business from anywhere. I also recommend that they use a POS system that has robust security features, such as multi-factor authentication and encryption. Additionally, the POS system should be easy to set up and use. As for the keyboard, I recommend that businesses use a keyboard that is comfortable to type on and has features that make it easy to navigate, such as arrow keys and a number pad. As for the flash drive, I recommend that businesses use a high-capacity flash drive that is durable and has a long lifespan. Additionally, they should make sure to keep the flash drive backed up in case of data loss. Finally, businesses should consider purchasing insurance to protect their equipment in case of theft or damage. These are just a few of my recommendations based on my analysis. Ultimately, businesses should evaluate their specific needs and choose the devices that are right for them. Thanks.

I invite @alexanderpeace @yaladeeds and @james100 to participate in this contest.
