Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game | A Day of Emotions
Hello friends of Steem Pakistan Community, hope we are all having a great week. Last weekend was a wonderful one for me. I had the chance to celebrate with a special friend here on steemit. But I was also in the funeral service of someone who was close to my pastor.
On the last Saturday of July: 27th to be precise, I woke up a little late, and when I went outside, the sun was quite shiny- everyone was busy and I remembered it was sanitation day.
In my state, every last Saturday of the month is Sanitation day, where everyone in the community come out to keep the environment clean. Since I woke up late, I walked down to the field but on my way I bought Akara (beans cake), a special delicacy in Nigeria made from beans and fried with oil. We enjoy eating this delicacy in the mornings with bread or pap or both.
I got to the field and watched football while eating the akara, it was great seeing a lot of people exercising and playing around the football field.
I went back home by 9am, so I could attend the funeral and also my friend's 3rd anniversary on steemit.
I took my bath and wore my clothes for the funeral and also carried extra clothes for the anniversary. I arrived at the funeral by 10am, I also read the condolence message to the bereaved family before going to change up for the anniversary.
Yes!! It was @bossj23's anniversary, he celebrated his third anniversary on Saturday. He had called me earlier to inform me that I will be his MC, so I had to prepare to make sure that everyone had a good time.
I arrived the Hotel in which the event was to hold and met the Admin of Steemkids and parents community, @ngoenyi, I am always happy seeing her. She is a great vibe to be with and she loves educating us about steemit. I had a little time to talk to her and then moved straight to the hotel. I was welcomed by a lot of Steemit friends like @nsijoro, @whizzbro4eva, @uduak3287 and few others who were with the celebrant.
I came in with my brothers @davidmarkgeorge and @imohmitch to the event and we were happy to see other steemit friends.
I immediately started the event since I was the MC, we started introducing ourselves and by the time we were done, other steemians walked in.
We had a great afternoon, lots of engagements with each other, games, giveaways and a user was pranked too. I couldn't handle the prank because it was really a heavy one but we all had fun. We all ate to our fill and danced a little.
I enjoyed every part of the event and didn't want it to end. We took a lot of pictures and made videos together.
Everyone commended @bossj23 for doing a great job, being a great mentor and helping people onboard the steemit platform.
We learnt, connected and had fun. It was a very important day for us all.
We all went home today as a group and I took pictures too. It was a pleasure to see @ngoenyi again and listen to her wealth of experience on the platform - learning from her about steemit platform is always a big deal for me and I usually do well to pay attention.
I am glad that I also made the anniversary a successful one by putting smiles on people's faces. It was a great one.
I went home, rested and was on my pc and phone all through the day to help a friend with her CV. I didn't finish up but I had done 60% of it.
I am happy I had a great day from football to the funeral and then the anniversary.
I invite @vudeme, @davidmarkgeorge and @usoro01 to participate in this contest
Pictures were taken using my phone and some using @davidmarkgeorge's phone as he was the official photographer of the event.
It was really a great session with you all and mainly with my cam❤️🥰
Thanks for inviting me in this very contest too
