The Diary Game.Diary of 18-01-2024 .A visit to a road construction site with my boss.

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

From quite a few days, my sleep cycle has changed because of going to sleep a little late in the night, which not only has disturbed my getting up early in the morning but also alters my timetable which I had set accordingly as I am a working professional. I somehow managed to get up early at 6:30 AM even after being so reluctant to getting up because I couldn’t open my eyes, just because of the exposure my eyes get while working on a computer screen late in the night.
I went to offer the morning prayers in a nearby Mosque and then after finishing I came back home to have some work out in the backyard. I have gained some weight from a couple of months because I got busy in my studies and hardly get any time to burn the extra fat I have. Today I had my breakfast with my parents at around 8:30 AM and then I got ready for office and left for the same at around 9:30 AM.

Today I had to submit some verification reports in the main office of our block and also had to submit the forms received from the new applicants who have attained the voting age of 18 years and are eligible to vote in the forthcoming local bodies election in our valley. As my boss is very friendly with me and is more like my friend, she asked me to accompany her to a nearby site where workers were deployed to construct a road towards the farm lands of that particular village. The village has a hilly terrain and most of the farms lie over these hills, which pose a lot of problems and difficulties in transporting various farm materials either way. I drove her car and we went to physically verify the work which is being executed under the world’s largest employment program Mahatma Gandhi national rural employment guarantee act,MGNREGA .

Under this program, the government is liable to provide every unemployed youth of the country with hundred days of employment in his own locality. In this regard, we usually undertake the developmental works which benefit these local areas and thus provide avenue for these unemployed youths to earn their livelihood. I am proud that I am a part of this program by being an official of the department which undertakes such initiatives for the betterment of the rural underprivileged people.

It being an employement generation program, we don’t allow use of any machines as the machines would deprive the unemployed youth of their livelihood and does make sure that the contractors do not use any machines by frequently visiting such sites. Today our visit was intended to have a check on usage of machines.

Later, I returned home at around 5:30 PM, and I was a little late to resume my studies because I firstly took a nap. I had my dinner at 9:30 PM and after going through social media for about more than an hour, I went to sleep at around 12 AM.
