✅Lions are present in which continent mostly.
Lions live mainly in the African continent. The African lion (Panthera leo) is most common in sub-Saharan Africa. However, lions were once found in Asia, but today only a small group of Asiatic lions (Panthera leo persica) survives in the Gir forests of India. Hence, most lions are found in Africa.
✅Elephants are in which continent mostly.
Elephants are mostly found in Africa and Asia.
African Elephants (Loxodonta africana) are the largest and are primarily located in sub-Saharan Africa, including countries like Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa.
Asian Elephants (Elephas maximus) are smaller and are found in countries across Asia, such as India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Indonesia.
So, the two main continents where elephants are found are Africa and Asia, with the majority of the world's elephant population residing in these regions.
✅Most favorite food for lion and elephant.
Lions and elephants have very different diets due to their contrasting roles in the ecosystem:
Lions: As carnivores, lions primarily eat large herbivores. Their favorite prey includes zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, buffaloes, and even young giraffes. Lions rely on meat for their nutrition and typically hunt in groups to take down larger animals.
Elephants: As herbivores, elephants primarily consume grasses, leaves, fruits, tree bark, and roots. African elephants, in particular, enjoy fruits like bananas, melons, and figs when they’re available. They need a large amount of food daily due to their size, often eating up to 150-200 kg (330-440 lbs) of vegetation each day.
In short:
Lions’ favorite food: Large herbivorous animals (like zebras and buffaloes).
Elephants’ favorite food: Grasses, leaves, fruits, and bark.
