Season 03 : A Feast for All: Share Your Food diaries, Reviews, and Adventures! (My local soup, Miyan karkeshi)

Hello dear friends...
How are you? Hope you are all doing okay!
I'm @ibraheem75 from Nigeria, I'm so delighted to see on this wonderful contest organized by @artist1111 in Steem For Pakistan community, before then permit me to invite @ashkhan, @shiftitamanna and @ruthjoe to also participate.

Well, today I would love to share with you all, my local recipes, last week I traveled home to see my grandmother that's when I cooked this very food.

What you need is:

  • Pepper
  • Dawdawa (local Maggi)
  • Karkeshi
  • Local potassium
  • Cray fish
  • Full loaded charcoal etc.

So I started by setting fire on my charcoal stuff and then put some water on the pot on fire.

After that I applied some local potassium from the water on fire, while my granny was helping me in cutting the fresh green leafs (called karkeshi in Hausa) which I would be using to cook the soup it was like a marathon cooking 😋, coz you know how charcoal used to delay.

While waiting for the water to boil I went ahead pounding local Maggi called "dawdawa" in Hausa follow by pepper, because the leafs is on fire I left it to boil first before, I later put the remaining ingredients like the Maggi star, salt, pepper and local Maggi which I've pound and many more.

Food is ready.

After putting all the ingredients, then I left it to boiled for some minutes before I brought it down, I then started making my swallow (called tuwo in Hausa) the swallow was not stressful, it took me less 30-40 minutes to get it done then I served everyone.
