Hello everyone, I finally found some time to participate in this contest.

I particularly enjoy participating in this contest because it's wonderful to connect stories to photos. Photos help bring back memories of certain moments in your life, of things that happened to you, and I think it's really special to share them here in this community.
Those who follow my posts know that I love exploring new places, and I also enjoy sharing nature-related content. I've posted photos in other communities as well, including the Italian one, featuring my walks in the Berici Hills.
This is a specific place where this cross is located. I must say it's quite unique because I used to come here often with a dear friend who, unfortunately, is no longer with us. In a way, it feels somewhat surreal, as if I'm connected to him when I visit this spot.

I often come here mainly to enjoy the stunning sunset that can be seen from this location. However, I always have the feeling that he's here, as if he's waiting for me at the end of my walk. It's a bit strange to describe, and the emotions felt in those moments are difficult to put into words, but I believe it's beautiful when certain places are tied to people who were very important in our lives.

He, like me, was passionate about hiking, especially in the mountains, though sadly, his passion turned against him in some way. Yet, I think these places always create a bond with such people, even if they're no longer here. I don't know if you experience the same thing.

That's why I often come to this spot—not only for the beautiful connection with nature but also for the encounters with wildlife that I could share many stories about. One of the best things about visiting places like this is being immersed in nature.
