Diary Game: A Family Surprised Birthday by hannybanny and 10% to steem for Pakistan

Wow! we actually scaled though. Good day and Welcome to steemit. The hand of the Lord will rest upon you for good. As you step out today, I want to use the word thank you for every act of kindness I receive.

Infact my heart keep smiling each time I woke up with this thought, it's amazed me. On the 22nd of March 2024 was my birthday, I woke up very early and started praising God Almighty for adding another year to my years on earth. Family members and friends sent birthday wishes left, right and center. I was busy reading messages and sending a reply back to them for their concern. At the end of the day, my daughter who is not around me put a call through to me and ask how my day went through. I reply her that it was just on a low key. She said okay, that when she comes around she will take me out. Little did I know that my daughter and other family members were planning a surprise birthday party for me behind my back.

On the 29th of March she came from Abuja to Uyo to attend a friend's wedding on Saturday being 30th. Still at the wedding party she called me to dress up as she is taking me out for my belated birthday celebration. Without wasting time, I dropped all what I was doing and quickly dressed up.

She actually took me out, but on our way out to board a taxi cap and after boarding the cap she made a call though I didn't know who she was speaking with only for her to turn back and tell me we should go back home that she forgot something. I was offended but she calm me down only to meet a surprise package at home.
Before I got home, my family members were in my house to welcome me in celebration atmosphere.

Welcoming home

The party started in earnest with an opening prayer, followed by introduction of the guest, cutting of cake, wine and dinning, dancing and presentation of gifts by the family. Indeed, it was a glorious event that I could not forget in a hurry. Till now, I am still wondering how it all started. My family has really surprised me and am grateful for being a part of this great family so closely knitted into one. I am eternally grateful to God for blessing me without measure and for showing me love.
