It was great today in permanent orientation camp, Obubra, Cross River State.

I wake up sound and strong. It was a short night though but I'm getting used to the environment. I woke up around 3:40 a.m today, I woke up late and I quickly had my bath, got dressed and rushed down to the camp studio. As a member of OBS ( Orientation Broadcasting Services) we also resume to the studio daily by 4:00 a.m

After that we went for meditation after which we had our breakfast by 7:00 a.m

After breakfast, we left to the hall by 8:50 a.m to start our daily activities. We had series of lectures ranging from sensitization by the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) etc.
After the lectures, we resumed our SAED classes.

As a rule to all corp members in camp, one must join any SAED ( Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development) lectures. SAED lectures is a kind of lectures where various skills are introduced to corp members thereby leaving them with the choice of choosing any one peculiar to them.

During the course of the SAED lectures, I picked up interest to learn photography and filming. As an actress, I saw it peculiar to my aspiration and passion. I would love to know how to capture professional pictures and how to edit videos.

I joined the class and for days we have been doing the theoretical aspect of it.

Today, we moved into photography. We were taught how to capture and edit photos using Adobe Photoshop.

It was an eye opener to many things I didn't know. It was so nice using the app to edit beautiful pictures.

Towards the end of the class, our lecturer gave us an assignment to take a photograph and identify the things that needs to be done in it and edit it perfectly.

It was not easy at first being the first day we are doing it practically. Each and everyone of us took up the challenge and took some photographs. After, we showed him our photographs, he approved some including mine and asked those whose photos didn't meet the required standard to go and take another picture.

At the end, we were able to edit our pictures using Adobe photoshop and it was looking amazing.

I'm glad I have learnt something today. I will be glad to know more and also learn how to edit videos in the course of my study.

At the end of the lectures by 2:00 pm, we had our lunch. We were given rice and stew as lunch. After lunch, we had a little rest and by 4:00 pm we all left for parade, drama rehearsals and inter platoon rehearsal. I left for drama rehearsal before joining the inter platoon football competition.

Our platoon was playing against platoon 7 and at the end we won.

After the competition, we had our lunch and got ready for our social night. We had drama competition today and it was so nice watching all platoon display their presentations. At the end, we all dispersed to our various hostels by 10:00 pm for a night rest.
