Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game | Rainy Day
Although the day started with rain, I decided to make the best of the situation by seeking refuge in a cafe in Piazza de Ferrari. The rain and the fountain in the square seemed to be in perfect sync, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
After the rain stopped, I decided to walk around the upper part of the city. As I climbed the hills, I was struck by the vibrant colors of the buildings that seemed to come alive. Walking among these architectural wonders, I took several photos capturing the breathtaking panorama of Genoa.
Going down to the shore, I noticed an interesting situation – a seagull perched on the head of a statue. The statue is the work of renowned sculptor Bruno Catalano, known for his unique and thought-provoking works of art. This particular statue, with its illusion and craftsmanship, is a testament to Catalano's talent.
Continuing my walk, I heard the sounds of a guitar filling the air. I followed the music and soon found a street musician playing his instrument masterfully. Passersby had stopped to listen and drop coins into his guitar case. The performance was touching and reminded me how important music is in our lives.
Later in the day I passed the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, his bronze likeness still glistening in the rain. The statue stands as a symbol of peace and unity and of the importance of compassion and understanding in our world.
Continuing my walk, I found myself in front of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, an imposing structure that showcases the city's architectural prowess. Evening fell and I passed the statue of the man with the bag again, this time under the soft lighting of the street lamps.
Finally, after a long day of walking and enjoying the beauty of Genoa, I returned to the restaurant where my day started to eat a delicious and healthy dinner. The bread, egg and sausage was the perfect way to end this unforgettable day.
I want to invite my new friends @aneukpineung78 @wakeupkitty.pal @irawandedy
