15th August i.e. Independence Day is about to come. This time 78th Independence Day will be celebrated in our country India. It has been 78 years since our country got independence. Our country got independence from the British on 15th August 1947. This day was a very proud day for our India. Which was recorded in golden letters in history. It is also known as the Golden Bird of India.
This time all the children in our school have prepared some programs for Independence Day. We also have to reach school on 15th August at 7:00 am. Today a notice came in our school that all the children should come to school in white uniform. It was also written in that notice that the uniform should be white as well as washed and clean.
But my white uniform had become small and the white shoes had become small. I was thinking what to do with the uniform now, so I came home from school and told my mother that after 2 days on 15th August I have to go to school in white uniform, this is the order of the Principal Maam.
I wore my white uniform and checked it, it had really become small and I was able to wear it with great difficulty. On this Mummy immediately called Papa and said that there is a 15th August program in his school after two days and he has to go in a white uniform, so get him a new uniform and new shoes today itself. On hearing this Papa agreed to get him the uniform and told me that he will leave after the shop closes in the night, today he will close the shop a little early, after that he will get you the white uniform, you should come to the shop on time. At night I went to the market with Papa to buy my white uniform and shoes.
On the day of 15th August, I got ready wearing my new uniform and reached school on time with the Indian tricolor flag. On the way, I saw that people were hoisting the tricolor flag at their homes at many places because this time Modi ji had given the slogan of 'Har Ghar Tricolor' to everyone, so all Indians were hoisting the tricolor flag at their homes. I also hoisted the tricolor at my home and I also put a flag at my father's shop.
Many cultural programs were held in the school. We also presented a wonderful dance on a patriotic song. After that all the school children were given a packet of four laddus each by the school and after that the school was over, all of us were returning to our homes immersed in the colour of patriotism.
There have been many patriots in our country who sacrificed their lives for this country. Their names will be remembered for ages. Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Mahatma Gandhi are many such patriots who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle.
It is because of them that we are living carefree in this country today.
Freedom is essential for everyone. Freedom to express your thoughts is most important. When we read in books how people lived in bondage in the past, we wonder how people must have tolerated so much.
Living the life of a slave must have been so painful. Where there is no freedom to eat and drink, no freedom to speak. Every person wants to fly in the open sky like an independent Panchi.
