Hello My Steemain Friends ,
How are you. I hope you people of steemian are good and enjoy your life . Well I am well. May God bless you all. Today I am writing about an interesting and knowledgeable contest which is launched by @abdullahw2 all time my favourite topic ""My Favorite Food In Winter"" So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic
What is your favorite food to enjoy in winter, and why? |
---|
Every season has its own specialties and some dishes. Which we eagerly wait for. My favorite food in winters is Gajar ka Halwa, Gajak, Jaggery Gajak, I like it very much, Laiya Patti, Makki ki Roti, Mustard greens, Peanuts are the best time pass.
Everyone in our house likes to eat sweets. Both my children eagerly wait for Gajar ka Halwa to be made. Mustard greens are very good for health, green vegetables provide a lot of nutrients which are beneficial for health. There is an abundance of green vegetables in winters. Which are good in taste and are also used a lot in making stuffed parathas. Which we like to eat with coriander chutney.
Is there a specific recipe or ingredient that makes it unique for you? |

Many things like Gajak and Gajar ka Halwa are available to eat only in winters, because carrots are available only in winters. The best thing is that it tastes good hot and can be easily eaten cold too. Jaggery is used more in winters. Peanuts are used more in making sweets. It is said that jaggery is good for the stomach and also maintains heat in the body.
When it is very cold, it is used in winters because the nature of jaggery is hot, so jaggery is used more in winters. Makki ki roti and sarson ka saag is Punjabi food but I like it very much.
How your favorite food is prepared? Provide us a short overview |

My favorite food in winters is Gajar ka Halwa. It takes a lot of time and hard work to make it. But we can easily store it in the fridge for 7 days. It does not get spoiled, its taste also does not change. It has to be kept in the fridge because it is made from milk.
The ingredients required for Gajar ka Halwa are as follows.
Carrot
Milk
Sugar
Dry Fruits
Desi Ghee
Method
First of all we peel the carrots and wash them with clean water. Then we grate all the carrots with the help of a grater. Meanwhile we keep the milk to boil in a pan in which all our carrots can fit and keep stirring. When the milk comes to a boil, then we add the grated carrots to it, on low flame we let the carrots cook in the milk.
And this process continues till all the milk absorbs the carrots, when all the milk dries up, then we add sugar to it and mix it well. When sugar is added then it leaves water, then we stir it on low flame till its water dries up. When the water dries up. Then we add two spoons of Desi Ghee in it so that the carrot halwa gets shine and a good aroma and then we add chopped dry fruits to it, the carrot halwa is ready.
If you were asked to share this food with some of your Steemian friends, who would it be and why? |

Winter is my all-time favourite season for various reasons!
Because of increasing global warming now we can't feel that cold that we felt in our childhood but then also I love this period, September to February!
However, I noticed you shared your favourite foods I guess you enjoy sweets;
Though I am not a sweet lover during winter I enjoy consuming date jaggery.
Every winter, my cousin's brother sends me pure date jaggery as they live in the village area. I keep them in the refrigerator and enjoy them with roti, and sometimes I make dessert with them, but with the solid ones, not with that comes in liquid form! Best of luck for the contest!
Wow!! Imagine having a get together at your house and we are all @patjewell, @eliany, @sduttaskitchen and me, enjoying Gajar Ka Halwa, makki ki roti and other foods will be a great delight 😄
