"One Picture And One Story Week #65" -"Hands that Tell a Story: The Magic of Henna"
It is always a joy to contribute towards creative and entertaining contests and today I am delighted to present my entry for the contest ‘One picture and One story’ initiated by the @suboohi in the steem for Pakistan Community. This competition is an amazing chance to tell an amazing story based on one photo, to combine the ability to dream and to feel into one masterpiece.
Some days ago, I was privileged to participate in a special program arranged for the women of my community by our Community Welfare Organization. The events was a celebration to togetherness and culture our president being a thoughtful one as always proposed we make the event even better by having henna designs done on our hands.
The mentioned idea immediately created a stream of positive emotion. Whenever I am thinking of Henna it brings an image of celebration, happiness, and creativity into my mind set. Since it had been quite some time since I used the henna, I was more than happy to do it. The day before the event I went to the parlor smiling and with expectation in my heart.
After the henna artist started drawing on my hands designs appeared out of nowhere on palms and fingers. With every curve trying to look like the other, each of them was a sign of elegance in tradition. As waiting became a tradition, it taken what appeared to be an eternity observing the design with the henna paste dried on my hand.
Once this final design was done, I have to say I looked at my hands and was amazed. I mean, both were super decorated with intricate patterns I thought was almost an extension of my own personality. That was the moment of rediscovery when I saw my hands covered in such elegance after so long.
I had to capture before the henna could fade. I took a picture of my hands with the design and also the joy and excitement I felt there. I always see the picture, and I am reminded of the great day that I spend with my community and its henna art tradition and the beauty of simple joys together. 🌿💖

Hello 👋 dear @aspiya henna looks great on your hands. You applied henna on your hands in a good style. For this you went to the parlor and from there you applied henna.
Whenever there is a function in the family, it means a wedding or any other function. So women mostly apply henna on their hands, which adds to their beauty. Your hands with henna looks amazing.
Best Wishes 😍 Always be happy.
Regards!
