My Favourite Book Review - Animal Farm

Designed with Canva Pro

I am a book lover. I really enjoy reading books. Since my marriage I no longer have sufficient time for reading to the extent I did before. Today I feel happy to present one of my top choice among all books I have ever read.

Book info and Review

Book Title: Animal Farm
Author: George Orwell
Genre: Political Satire, Allegory
Year of Publication: 1945

Plot:

Animal Farm

The story Animal Farm by George Orwell presents itself as both unique and deeply meaningful. The events in the story unfold on the agricultural farm known as Manor Farm. Mr. Jones has mistreated the animals for too long. On the mark, they decide to rebel and take things into their own hands. There are two pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, who are leading the revoution. At first everything seems perfect. The animals have it in their nature that all animals are equal and they are free. As time goes by things get changed.

Slowly Napoleon begins to transform into a greedy monster. Taking full control of the farm. He forces Snowball to leave. The animals expect a better life but they see new rules being made soon enough. Only the pigs are helped by these rules and the other animals are subjected to this. The idea of the main idea of the revolution is changed: "All animals are equal." Pigs begin living as humans. The last part of the story shows that in the end, the animals can no longer believe a gap between the pigs and the humans exists. The form they fought are the leaders they fought against, and they came back in a new form.

Personal Reflection:

My fav. One

This is one of my favorite books, it is not simple a story. The lesson in this is very important about power and politics. The truth that the book brings out is that power comes and goes, but oppression does not end.

I thought deeply about this book. People fight for freedom many times and after their victory they chained in the new slavery. History has proven, after a revolution, power transfers from one person to another and not much changes regarding the lives of ordinary people. The conclusion of the book produced emotional sadness within me. The animals conducted so much work for an improved future they failed again and agin. Their conditions remained unchanged. This story inspired me to ask whether human society exists in the same ongoing pattern.

Honestly, I am very sad when I think about politics of my own country, Bangladesh. There are possibilities for my country. In a parallel to Animal Farm the leading figures of BD taking every advantage for themselves. The current state of my homeland continues deteriorating because of these circumstances.

Summary:

You Can Download The PDF from Here

Although Animal Farm is based on the Russian Revolution and Stalin’s rule, the message of the book remains valuable in today’s world. This book is not about one country, this book can apply to any society.

The book tell us how power changes people, how good ideas can go under and how, inevitably, ordinary people always pay the price. Orwell writes simply, but there is much meaning in what he says. The animals in this story are not simply animals; they symbolize real people.

All in all, I would say, that "Animal Farm" is not just a story, but a lesson. This book is a must read for learning how power works, how society really works and how people get exploited.
