RE: Contest Alert ⚠️ 1 Picture 1 Story Week #72
Any addiction leads to harmful consequences. Fifteen years ago, I went to a manicurist whose husband was a gambler. One day he didn't have enough money for the gambling, he came home, woke her up and pinched her hard until she gave him the money she had to spend on the child.
I wrote about drugs, but this applies to any other addiction - alcohol, gambling, porn… I want to emphasize that this also applies to people who are addicted to narcissists, but that’s a long topic. For some people, addiction develops due to genetics, their environment, and the surroundings they grow up in. Psychological traits - such as a tendency for obsession or fixation - as well as traumatic or stressful situations, also play a role. In all cases, working with a psychotherapist, a rehab community, or a psychiatrist is necessary. It depends on the situation and the person! Thanks for your feedback!
