There were two cats that were out in a garden one morning and late afternoon the sky was near perfect. I think it doesn’t really matter what their names are, but their characters, yes, they had very distinctive characters. The first cat was one who could be associated with curiosity and a desire to get to know something new. The other cat was gentle and would just lay down and would not like to have to hurricanes no matter the number.
There were flowers of different colors, but one color rose above the rest – a big bright red rose. It was so bright and lovely that could overcome the bright lighting of the surrounding. Suddenly the amber eyes of the curious cat sparkled and she saw the rose. She immediately rushed to it and started to get intimated by its sweet smell.
‘This flower is little’, ‘This flower beautiful’ she blurted out in what could be described as enchantment with the rose.
The calm cat who was lying under the tree near some other flower saw her friend near the said flower and shouted, “Hey why are you here?”
The curious cat said to him, “Come here!” You have to see this rose. It’s the most beautiful flower I have ever seen!’
The quiet cat sleep-walked and lazily approached the rose. When she arrived she stood a few feet back and searched the face. “It is beautiful,” she responded, “but I thought those thorns seem to be sharp.” We should be careful.”
The curious cat laughed and said “Oh well they say that life is beautiful but beautiful life also has its hurdles.” Which really isn’t to say we ought not to delight in it too!
On hearing this the calm and composed cat smiled. She lowered herself to sit beside the rose, making sure not to have contact with the thorns, then she set close attention to it together with her friend. Both liked its smell, and the fact that the petals of the flower shimmered in sunlight.
For a while, the cats stopped selecting the rose but left it on the garden floor. The unruffled cat then said this rose belongs here making the garden even beautiful. The wondering cat agreed with, pondering to himself that it is often good to let beautiful things remain exactly there.
The two cats spent the rest of the day playing in the garden, and never budged an inch. They were laughing, frolicking underneath the trees, running behind butterflies and taking rest on soft mud. However the message of red rose remained with them. It made them realise that at other times, it is the straightforward things in life that are most rewarding and give out many valuable lessons.
Cats vanished from the Garden as the sun was setting walking away with full stomach and stomach filled with joy. Besides having fun during the day with the treasure hunt, they had also learned values of beauty and respect it as well. To them it was a day to remember, a day when they learn something valuable in life out of a flower.
Thanks for your participation. Best of luck for the contest.
