50/50 Music Burn: John Lennon - Death of a Beatle (Full Documentary)

This will be the third in a series of random posts about music. In each post, I'll burn STEEM and donate it to this community in a 50/50 split (50% to @null and 50% to @hive-180051). I'll call it the 50/50 Music Burn. Sometimes, it might just be a random song; other times, it might be a story about music or a concert. Today, we'll take a look at the documentary "Death of a Beatle," which originally aired on CNN on December 8, 2015, the 35th anniversary of Beatles star John Lennon's murder.

This documentary, shot in New York and Liverpool, showcases the days before Lennon's tragic death. It also includes a chilly confession from Mark David Chapman and the final interview with Lennon.

To better tell John Lennon's story, I've also included another documentary below that concentrates mainly on the singer's life.

44 years have passed since Chapman senselessly gunned down Lennon...his fans still mourn his loss to this day. Below is a video from a tribute held in New York just last week.

Lennon's voice has lived on, but his death still marks one of the darkest days in the history of music. While his vision has faded over time, his message is still as clear as the day he released the song below. Just imagine...
