Greetings and blessings to you all

Assalam o alaikum friends welcome to my post I am @sualeha from Pakistan it's pleasure for me to participate again in engagement challenge season 20 in week 3 that hosting by @dexsyluz by this contest post link,so guys let's start and elaborate about the topic of the week that's Morphological anemias

Defines Morphological

Well Friends last week we talked about hemoglobin red blood cells (RBCs) and today we will be using them to determine a kind of anemia. So guys the types of anemia depends on the size, shape, and appearance of red blood cells and Morphological anemia is also classified based on the physical features like shape, size ,appearance of the red blood cells keenly seen by microscope .

We classified Morphological anemia in three types and below discussing on them one by one
We have

  • Microcytic Anemia
  • Macrocytic Anemia
  • Normocytic Anemia.

These types are classified also based on the physical features of the red blood cells in the size, shapes and appearance. Let's discuss I detail for more better understanding 🐱.

  • Microcytic Anemia : This type of anemia, we observed that the size of the RBCs smaller than normal Red blood cells it's means that means corpuscular volume (MCV) are small in the person in average and due to this It is mainly caused by ion deficiency in the body .
  • Macrocytic Anemia : In this type of anemia that it's larger than by normal Red blood cells which means corpuscular volume (MCV) so in the results t is reason to cause deficiency in vitamin B12.It is noted here that corpuscular volume (MCV) is measured in femtoliters (fL). So any person who has a high mean corpuscular volume (MCV).

  • Normocytic Anemia : In this type of anemia, the RBCs a re normal but it is usually not much in number and it usually results in acute blood loss in person.

Have you ever had anemia?

Yes I had faced anemia deficiency issued in my kids birth during pregnancies , my doctor advised me to test anemia,in all of three pregencies infact that time I need more iron that usually not enough for baby and me , actually in
pregnancy first increases the amount of plasma in the body to carry a baby, which also increases the function of other organs, especially the kidneys that's why I becomes anemic.its very normal to happened with me, there is nothing to worry about as there is a the mother's body s usually nothing serious happens, currently I am fit alhudulliah so this time I had no lab reports or prove all were old .

well the nutritional Deficiencies, also caused anime in which Iron deficiency commonly seen in patients, in some cases children can suffer from anemia due to repeated growth. By the grace of Allah,my kids also had not anemias issues.

Pathophysiologically, what happens with anemia?

Now we understand that Anemic body is that due that who had reduction in red blood cells (RBCs) , impairing oxygen transport to tissues. Pathophysiologically, this normally results in a decrease in Red blood cell production reasons mainly the iron deficiency and vitamin B12 and bone morrow disorder If there's an increase in Red blood cell destruction or blood loss .so if could happen there will not be enough oxygen for tissues to carry out their body function and in the results will compensatory mechanisms like the cardiac output to increase, & erythropoietin will stimulate the production of (RBCs) formation from the kidneys.Ultimately, the imbalance between RBC production .

Clinical case

Given clinical case based on the lady's Hematology results

  • Patient has a microcytic anemia .
  • MCV indicates (71fL), which is low,
  • CHCM 27 g/L is lower than normal (refrence range which is 32-36)
  • Hemoglobin is 9 g/dl which is lower than normal refrence range (12-15 dl)
  • Low HCM of (24 Pg)
  • The positive HCG suggests pregnancy

These results shown that the lady is suffering from iron deficiency anemia, or nutritional deficiency, overall,I said that this clinical case highlights the need for urgent intervention and her anemia issues have to be addressed immediately infact in pregnancy needed to ensure the both mother and the fetus are healthy and safe and avoid to facing issues in delivery time .

So guys it's all about from my side I think I given all answers asking in the challenge in home assignment .well to finish I would love to invite my friends @chant ,@lirvic ,@drhira ,@suboohi and @roohiasif99 to participate in very interesting and informative theme of this week.

Thank you
Regards
