A comfortable little nest full of memories, warmth, love, and joyful laughter which time let in is so captivating and soothing; we welcome you to our home. It is therefore important to celebrate home as emotional investments as well as threads that have embraced and stitched us together to live, to grow and to prosper. At its most elemental and, at the same time, most complex level, it’s the physical and spiritual home where, amidst countless life storms, one can feel wanted and being safe.

The process of growing the seed that is within us

A house has four walls and a roof but a home is so much more than that – dwelling where the soul of the building and the soul of human beings are in contact and building a link between the spiritual and the physical world. The episodes that shape our lives and which even though they happen off stage remain at home.

The imprint left by a house is immeasurable, it severs itself deep into our soul. The laughter from the corridor to the serious conversation that we have sitting around on occasion all can be heard through the walls as we came to who we are today through this journey. It’s a shelter for material bodies and spiritual selves, place where dreams come alive, where our everyday hope is grounded and makes us feel like we are part of the entire happening.

Home is that place that all human beings know and recognize as the locus where they can put off the mask that the world so insists they However, wear all day. A place where you can afford to smile and laugh without being ashamed, or dragged to stereotype tears of regret. It’s a home where we can immerse ourselves into the friendly arms of people we care for, and where love stays unaffected regardless of the time or space. It's also an extension of self, a means of character building, of gaining roots, and an attempt to lay out the foundations of a life.

Embracing Our Haven

The building is not the beauty of a house as much as the memories that go along with it. Events and happenings It is a tribute to the special moments, the special moments of joy and even the moments when we are with our loved ones without necessarily saying anything. These are the aspects that move the plot of a movie which is something a house is not, but should be, by all means.

When we hear the word home there is always a special kind of comfort and yearning that comes with this feeling. These are the things (fragrances, views, noises, textures) that feel so running back to memory that is so dear to us. Every smell that permeates the atmosphere, every phantom that flickers on the corridor’s walls, every sound, every thought – they educate, and fill our emotional lives.

Our home is we reflect who we are, what we do, where we have been, who we want to be or even what we are afraid of. The area where we change and evolve, and what every other day writes in the story of our emotional scarfs. This is love that goes unheard, but is felt in soothing human embraces, camaraderie, that comes from laughter, and being present in a hand on the shoulder that says ‘I am here’.

The Sanctuary of Our Souls

Home is, fundamentally, a place that evokes feelings and makes us shielded from the noise and turmoil of the real world. Quite literally it is the place where one can go to rest, refresh and feel that one's spirit is tired. When we get into the arms of our house not only do we find a soft landing, but we also feel safe to let down our guard and give a deep breathe.

The walls of our home are the ones that hold the secrets of our lives; our goals, successes, failures and challenges. It is the living palette noting all the colors of our existence, keeping within it the codes for our past and future, our griefs and pleasures and our abilities and liabilities. A home carries deep feelings within it: continuity, a stability that lasts beyond the present given the practices of previous generations in the present and one’s dream for the future it presents.

A Home in Our Hearts

In this world or in life’s artwork in fact, the only thing that does not change is the feeling that goes with being at home. Contrary to what type of place, we do not see the place, nor do we pay it a visit; rather, it is an emotion that resides in the heart. Home is a place where one lives, finds joy, feels affection and learns. It is that which defines the link between ourselves, our past and what is yet to happen.

In the meandering of our latter roads, we must recover a sense of what our house is, our inner emotional haven. The bastion of affection and joy; spring of idée and restoration; well of consolation and stability; to which the various and unsteady voyage of life is directed.

Welcome home for today’s Morningside, for its beauty both visual and spiritual, for the resilience of human spirit as captured through its emotional architecture and for the love and longing that home represents. And home is not just a house; it’s a soul’s throne.
