Good day everyone on this beautiful community hope you are all doing well. is my pleasure to participate in this contest which I will be saying something on "How are social medias affecting our society in both good and bad ways? " Is an interesting contest which everyone will love to have what to contribute in this said. Below is my point of view.

What are the benefits of social media to our society?

Social media has a lot of benefits in our basic life and to the society as a hold and without the help of social media information can't pass through everyone faster.

There are so many benefits of social media to our society, it is just left for us to recognize and then harness its potential so that we can be able to leverage on the social media benefits in creating, and connecting to a more informed community.

• One of the benefits of social media to us is what I called global connection:- it helps us build international relationships and fostering global exchange. You'll agree with me that, before the advent of mobile phones that leads to the existence of social media that it was very difficult to communicate and interact with our loved ones, friends and family who were not in the same state or locality with us.

Sometimes the only option was to express ourselves in a letter, then take it to the post office to post it and before the letter gets delivered to the designated location; my darlings it can take weeks but now the story has changed; we can sit at the comfort of our homes and communicate with someone as far as united state, Germany and others countries around the globe.

• Social media gives room to us to connect with people who has similar interests with us, identities, and who we share like passion too, and believe me this can bring about a sense of belonging.

• And then another benefits of social media to the society is that it gives access to information on a vast pace on different topics making us to stay informed on the current happenings around the world.

What are the evils caused by social media in our society?

Yes it is true that in every advantage there is always a disadvantage,

As there are so many benefits that social media provide in our society it is also how it provides our society with evil caused which some of them are.

Misinformation and fake news: Social media can spread fake news and misinformation very fast which can lead to misguided beliefs, public panic, and even influence our outcome.

Cyberbullying and Harassment: Social media can be a platform for cyberbullying, abusive behavior, and harassment. People do get insulted on social media for no reason or cost which has a negative impact.

Privacy concern: Social media collect people's information and share them without the concern of the people first which usually leads to a breach of trust, as users'' information can be compromised.

Is social media really useful for common people or corporate companies?

Social media is useful for both common people and corporate companies. Common people are spending their valuable time on social media and showing their skills and earning money in various ways. Common people's communication system is also becoming easier through this social media. Can solve through internet. For this social media communication system is good with everyone.

Also, corporate companies can advertise their products or job resources through this social media. Through this social media they can give their products to the common people and get financial benefit. There are many entrepreneurs in corporate companies whose right products are easily available to the common people through advertisement. This increases the speaker's happiness and the company's profit.

Give your personal opinion and conclusion about social media.

I have never been heavily into social media but I found myself increasingly addict to Instagram particularly watching reels. It became habit that was eating up more of my time than I realized. today I made the decision to delete the Instagram app from my phone. It was not easy but I knew it was necesary for my well-being. This experience mades me reflect on How easy it is to get caught up in the world of social media Without even realizing it.

In conclusion social media has both positive and negative impacts on our society. It offers incredible opportunities for communication learning and community building but it also comes with significant risks including misinformation privacy issue and mental health challenge.

For each of us its important to find a balance that work for our lives and to be mindful of how we use these platforms. while social media can be powerful tool it should be used thoughtfully and with intention and be mindful of what you post or reply on the platform.
