I am having a good winter.Winter means traveling around and eating some interesting food because during winter the pithapuli festival starts as well as different types of food are prepared at home today I have prepared a similar food arrangement in my house I will share it with you.

Today I am going to share two recipes the first one is mixed vegetable khichuri and the second one is chicken curry recipe which is actually made to be eaten together so I am sharing both with you.

It is called maskalai dal in our country language. I brought this dal from my village. If this dal is fried a little, it gives a very nice smell to the khichuri. That's why I will fry it a little brown color and fry it.If the dal is fried a little, the khichuri will have a very nice smell, for this I will fry the dal fast and soak all the rice dal together, wash them well and let the water drain.

Then I will place a big pan and after the pan is hot I will pour oil as I will be using onion leaves so I will add very little chopped onion because it is patchouli so I will use less amount of onion.

Since the new onion doesn't need to be fried too much, I will stir the onion one by one and add all the spices to it and grind it well with the spices.And I am using very little amount of masala in the khichuri because if there is too much masala the khichuri will have a smell which is not good.

Then I will fry the washed rice grains well, then the vegetables will take some time to boil hard, then I will give the carrot first and then stir it well.

Then I will add the potatoes one by one because these vegetables will take some time to cook, I will add the cauliflower and onion leaves because they will cook very easily, then I will mix these vegetables slowly and grate them a little.

Then I kept the hot water aside, I poured the hot water and kept it covered for a while, then I mixed the cauliflower again because when the rice was half cooked, then I stirred the cauliflower again and covered it.

I cut the tomatoes into cubes and the onion leaves I kept, give them all and stir well and cover it for a while because I will not make it too smooth or too soft.Stir well and cover again for a while.

I will put everything in this bagar on top of the khichuri so village language we call baghar that's what I'm saying pour everything from the bagan stir well and sprinkle some coriander leaves on top my khichuri is almost done now I can take it down and serve.

Then stir well with ginger garlic cinnamon cardamom long bay leaves, turmeric powder, chili powder, cumin powder, grind the masala very well, then wait until the oil comes out from the masala.

When the oil comes out from the top of the masala, then add the washed chicken to the pan, then grate the chicken well by stirring well and grate it for a while.

After some time I will open the lid and check if everything is ok. I saw that everything is ok and cooked. The broth is quite gravy. I will not reduce it because I will eat it with khichuri. Then we have a home made mixed masala. Keep it light and then I will take down the chicken.My chicken is almost ready.

I actually put some onion leaves on top of the chicken and some coriander leaves, it will give a very nice smell, so many people may think green color is it actually green color, it is coriander leaves and onion leaves.
