SEC-S16/W2 - "Childhood trauma and incidents: how do they affect our children's life? "

Children are so vulnerable and most of the faces a lot of challenges that is associated with being traumatized at the end of it which may have a lasting impact on their physical, emotional and mental health. These comes with social bullying and also lack of parental care.
What are the problems faced by children, & which are all childhood traumas?
Childhood traumas are derived from various problems and adversities that they may encounter. These are some problems children face:
Abuse: Some children face physical, emotional and even sexual abuse that may come from home or society which can have a lasting effects on the child’s well-being.
Bully: children who faces physical or verbal bully inflict a lasting harm which can also result to mental crisis, emotional crisis and low-self esteem
Domestic violence: This is so rampant in our society today where children are beaten till they bleed
Neglect: some children lack parental care and are deprived from the essential care which are needed
How to protect children from social bullying?
Social bullying involves the use of manipulations and spreading of rumor to inflict harm to others. To protect children from social bullying.
To encourage and help them communicate openly about their experiences and feelings. Thereby Creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where they can feel comfortable discussing any instances of bullying they may encounter.
By helping them in building self-confidence, assertiveness, and the act in problem-solving.
Teaching them about the different forms of bullying, including social bullying, and explain how it can harm others. Help them recognize the signs of bullying behavior.
Teaching them how to set healthy boundaries and stand up for themselves because there might be a situation where they will be on their own and have no one to come to their aid.
How to educate our children about good touch and bad touch?
Parent need to create time for their children so as to educate them about good touch and the bad touch, also by learning to set boundaries.
Parent should also give their children chance to speak about how they spent their day and asking questions about their day. This will make them point out which they have spoken.
Building a good relationship with the children will help me to trust and speak openly. Parent should avoid asserting fear in children,creating balanced atmosphere to children will help them speak openly.
What do we have to sacrifice to raise a good child?
To raise a child, you need to sacrifice your TIME. Every child that behaves responsibly, it’s as a result of proper home training and it’s comes with dedicating your time.
Parent should endeavor to sacrifice good quality time with their children because at the end, it will be beneficial to the child and also the parent.
