I am proud of my mother tongue Pashto. It feels like a part of who I am because it is the language I grew up with. No matter where I go I feel at home when I speak Pashto. It conveys the songs of our customs the wisdom of my elders and the coziness of my family. Speaking it makes me feel comfortable because it enables me to freely and naturally share my ideas. Pashto is a link to my heritage and more than just a language. My people's rich history and culture are also reflected in Pashto.
