Between Responsibilities and Reflections: A Day Well Spent

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

I woke up early, greeted by the soft chirping of birds outside the open window of my room, their melodic tunes serving as my natural alarm. I freshened up and headed to the mosque for morning prayers as i do usually. It is more like a peaceful start that always fills me with a sense of calm and gratitude. After prayers, I decided to keep up with my routine of burning some calories, setting out for a refreshing walk around the apple orchards that blanket our entire village. The crisp morning air and the sight of dew-kissed apples hanging from the branches were the perfect companions for my solitude.The aroma pf ripening fruits is more like a fragrance from heaven and i always want to spend some more time in these orchards early in the morning but the responsibilities i have on my shoulders seldom let me do so.

The rest of my day was mainly occupied with election-related duties. As candidates who will contest this legislative Assembly election after the abrogation of Article 370 there’s always some more paperwork to handle, especially regarding permissions for their activities. It’s a meticulous work, requiring constant attention and adherence to protocols, but it keeps the wheels of democracy turning, which is a rewarding feeling. We as a team make sure we give permission to all the parties equally without making any favour to any particular party. During breaks, I found moments of respite with my friend, who also works in the same office. We share a good rapport, often balancing the seriousness of our roles with light-hearted conversations.

In the afternoon, when we managed to steal some free time, my friend and I decided to do some cycling. We headed to the playground of the Government Girls Secondary School in Nagam, where we cycled around the field, relishing the sense of freedom that only a good ride can bring.It was after a gap of more than a year when i went on cycling for such good length of time and distance. while I was on the cycle, enjoying the ride, I recollected my past days when I used to be a good cyclist and used to go on cycling trips with my friends. And it was only after my cousin broke my cycle when he met an accident i had to leave my passion. It was a good experience , and I felt rejuvenated by the end of it.

Later, as I returned home, I was greeted by my cousin, who had arrived earlier and had been eagerly waiting for me. He had a snack craving, and I could see the excitement in his eyes as I walked in. We spent the evening catching up, sharing laughs over some snacks, and simply enjoying each other’s company and moments like these are the true joys of life. Later, after I had my dinner alongside my whole family, I went to my room to have a glimpse of the Indian modern history book, which fascinates me every time I go through it and helps me to realise the struggles our forefathers have gone through while they were in pursuit to freedom of this great nation.
