A Day in Srinagar: Family Bonding, Friday Prayers, and a Shared Tragedy
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
This morning, I woke up to the chirping of birds and since it was cold, I felt like staying in bed. However, the call to prayer (Adhan) echoed, and I couldn’t stop myself from offering my prayers. Prayer is essential and starting the day with it is nothing less than a blessing. It gives me strength and the ability to face challenges positively and overcome them. This is my mantra for beginning the day on a good note.
As soon as I finished my prayers, I went out for a walk alone. I took a round around the village, and this walk helps maintain balance in my body and keeps me agile. Walking keeps me healthy and allows me to think effectively. It helps me find solutions to my problems easily, as they come to mind naturally. This is an excellent way to live a healthy life.
Since it is the autumn season, the orchards around the village look incredibly beautiful. Their leaves have turned yellow, and the blend of yellow and even green leaves creates a stunning sight. It’s a beauty that touches the heart.
Today, I had taken leave from the office as I was planning to go to Srinagar city with my family to buy a few things. Since my elder brother is getting married next year, and his engagement has already taken place, we needed to take some items for our soon-to-be sister-in-law before the winter season or snowfall begins.
That’s why my family decided to visit Srinagar city today to get these items. Having a car at home often means I accompany my family on such trips when needed.
We went to the Sarai Bala area to purchase some gold jewelry. It took some time to finalize the items, and we went to our usual jeweler, a trusted individual with a renowned shop. After selecting our favorite pieces, we were about to leave when the call to prayer (Adhan) was heard.
We performed the Friday prayers at a well-known mosque in the area. A large crowd had gathered, many of whom were mourning the recent loss of two young children in an accident. The Imam also prayed for their forgiveness and expressed sorrow over the incident. It was a deeply tragic event that occurred in the Tengpora area of Srinagar, where two young children lost their lives in a car crash.
Later after finishing the congregational prayers at sarai bala we left towards Baghat Burzulla where from we had to buy some clothes which we have to present her as a gift on the occasion of first meeting with my mom.We selected some high quality stuff for my to be sister in law and were very meticulous with choosing the material. My mom was with us who choose the clothes for her. Later after we were done with shopping we left for our place. It took us some more time to finish the jobs we had to,on our way back home. It was quite late in the evening when we reached home because we stuck in a heavy traffic jam in chadoora just a few kms away from our place.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
