"Pick a Word, Paint a Story #07" STAR
Children are like stars in our hands, which can shine and brighten our lives. But these precious stars may not shine if they are obstructed by opaque objects, so to speak. Therefore, parents need to train their children to become the stars they are. But how can they do this?
Train Children From Infancy: Science has proven that children can learn From their birth. Their brains are ever ready to receive a whole lot of information. Though their brains are just a quarter the weight they would be when they are adults, it is proven that their brains can grow very fast to three-fourths the weight of their adulthood when they are two years old. You see, there is no need to wait till when they are adults before we begin to teach them some morals, they may not take them then. Let's start early with infants and train them to become the stars they are by instilling in them both morals and educational values.
Don't Over-protect Children: Some Parents often say; "Leave him, he will come around when he is of age, he is still young". Children should be reprimanded when they do wrong from infants so they grow to distinguish wrong from right. They should be trained with chores suitable for their age, and given responsibilities suitable for their age as well. Let's train them to become responsible men and women in society.
Observe What They Are Good At: Children have different capacities and are good at different things. Observe what they like doing. Is it painting or assembling puzzles? Tailor their educational training to that effect; this would help them become star professionals in their respective fields.
Don't Compare: Over here in Nigeria, some parents are fond of comparing their children negatively to their peers, but I don't know about your country. Negative comparison can only deter the zeal and motivation in a child. Children are different, and they are good at different things, as I said earlier; therefore, just bear in mind that every child is a star, but in different ways, so train him in his way.
Praise Them When They Do Good: The five-word statement, 'I am proud of you', can skyrocket a child's success to the sky. When our children make good grades in school, let's praise them. When they do good things at home, let's praise them. Praising our children motivates them to become stars in the future.
Conclusively, children are stars, and they should be cared for and trained accordingly. Parents play a greater part in the success of their children. Therefore, they should train their children from infancy, not Over-protect them, give them educational training in fields they are good at, not compare them negatively to their peers, and praise them for what they do well. Yes, every child is a Star; they should be treated as such. When we train children to become stars they are, will have a society full of starry-genius.

The child should be made a star from their moral character. From the time they are infants, we have the power to mold their value. We must instill good morals in children before they become stars; that is my point.
