Hello Friends how are you all? I am fine by the grace of God. And very excited because it’s almost Christmas Day 🎄🎄. Hope you all are enjoying the Holiday Season.

This Christmas, I am going to be in Ahmedabad. My parents are going to come in the month of January. My mom will be there with us on New Year’s Eve and so I’m grateful for that ☺️. It’s all so joyful and wonderful. Wishing you all Happy Holidays and may this Christmas bring you all joy and happiness in life. So let’s begin with my yesterday’s diary post.

Ready to Party
Yesterday was a special occasion as I was invited to my friend’s dinner party. Her name is Shiney Gomes. The party was in the occasion of her victory in the Asia Pacific Games Table Tennis Women’s singles and doubles. She represented Team India in the Game and got us Silver and Bronze medals. It was a proud moment for her and all her loved ones so to celebrate this milestone her family had organised a dinner banquet.

My Instagram story to Congratulate Shiney
As it was a working day, so I had to leave early from office. After completing all my work for the day, I left from office at around 7 pm. The dinner was at 7:30 and so I had to rush home, get dressed and then leave for the party. Since yesterday was a Friday night, there was traffic on the entire route. So I was already running late. I quickly reached home and got ready. By the time I reached the venue it was already 8:40 pm. But luckily I was not that late too.

The Gift I decided to give her
Since it was a big achievement for her, I decided to get her something. Getting flowers and bouquets seemed very common, so I decided to gift her a house plant. I ordered the plant in office itself and took it along with me. And indeed I was right. When I reached the hotel, the place was full of bouquets and flowers so as soon as I gifted her the plant she and her mom both liked it a lot.

Party Time
I gave her the gift congratulated her and then waited for her to come down from the stage. We chatted for a while and caught up with each other as we had met after almost a year. She told me about her journey to Malaysia and how the games were conducted. She had gone there along with other girls from Punjab and Haryana. They played against China and Korea too. China being a strong team, they couldn’t defeat them in the finals but still ended up winning a Bronze medal 🏅.

Beautiful Venue
We then went on and started our dinner with some soup and starters. Then we had our main course and enjoyed the evening listening to karaoke with Shiney’s Dad and his friends. Her Dad is not a singer but he does amazing dialogue work of very famous Bollywood actors such as Shatrugan Sinha and others. It was a delight to watch them all perform.

Beautiful Performances
After dinner, we danced to some good Karaoke music and clicked a few pictures. It was already late then so after some time people started leaving after they had had their dinner. We stayed for a while, and then left from there carrying all the gifts, envelopes and flowers. After that, I left from there, and reached home and texted her about it. Then I called it a day.
