Hello, my Steemit friends! I am very happy to participate in this engagement challenge contest organized by @hindwhale about our childhood dreams and how we achieve them.

Every child at his tender age has their own goals to strive for. And I must say that as a child, you need a guide to achieve your dreams.

We usually base many decisions on our own, for which we must need someone to tell us our strengths and weaknesses.
Every child at my end dreams of becoming a doctor and, after high school, is unsure about which courses to take to achieve their goals.as it has a significant impact on my ability to achieve my goals.
Let's take a read through my childhood dreams.

I was young when illiteracy was common in my village. My parents were uneducated, but they worked hard to ensure that every child in the family received an education.

My parents dictated that I become a doctor, but I know in my heart that I do not want to be a doctor.
My ambition was to become an agricultural extension officer because I knew my village needed education to
Adopt modern farming methods. I started climbing the ladder to achieve my dream when I went to high school to study agricultural science. I completed a three-year agricultural science program at the high school.

I wrote my final year exam at the high school, and my grades were good enough for me to proceed to study the program at the college.

I wanted to go to agri-business college, but when my parents found out, I was turned down.I had to change my dream, which I have spent years working on. I was confused, and I spent a year sitting in the house to decide which course to undertake in tertiary education.

I had an IT-inclined friend who advised me to study computer science at the tertiary level. My ambition shifted from being an agricultural officer to being a computer scientist at that point.I am very happy to start working towards my new dream of being a prominent software engineer.

Conclusion

Everyone dreams throughout their lives. Dreams are not permanent, as conditions make people change their plans. It is a lifelong process that can be achieved with much determination and hard work.

I hereby invite @mukka, @bossj23, and @dorismos to participate in this engagement challenge.
