First of all I would like to thank @"jyoti-thelight" for presenting such a beautiful competition for us. Today I would like to present my India's South Indian Food ( Idli Sambar with Coconut Chutney ) recipe in this food diary game and hope you all will enjoy it. To make this recipe I have used some of the ingredients kept in the house.

                       ingredients:

Some vegetables of my choice like carrot, brinjal, bottle gourd, capsicum, radish, beans, kashiphal, potato and tur dal,

Dried coconut and sour tamarind,

Semolina, Eno, curry leaves, roasted gram, green chilies, tomato, ginger,

Mustard seeds, Sambar masala, salt, and turmeric powder.

                      Method:

First of all, I soaked 250 grams of semolina in water and left it to swell. And washed tamarind and soaked it in water.

Then washed all the vegetables, cut them into small pieces, added two spoons of tur dal, added salt as per taste, half a spoon of turmeric, and one spoon of sambhar masala, added some water and let it boil.

Now I cut some coconut into small pieces, peeled the gram. And when the tamarind swelled, I mashed it by hand.

Now I prepared coconut chutney, for that I took coconut pieces, peeled gram, curry leaves, two green chillies, and after mashing and filtering the tamarind, added its pulp to it and ground the chutney.

Now to make idli, I put water in the steamer and put it to heat. Now I added a packet of Eno to a bowl of puffed semolina and after mixing it, I greased the idli maker and poured this paste in it. When the water got heated, I put the idli plates in the steamer and covered it and let it steam for 10 minutes.

Now I prepared the masala for the sambar. To make the sambar masala, I took three tomatoes and a small piece of ginger and ground them in the mixer. Now I heated a pan on the gas and added a spoon of mustard oil in it. Then I crackled mustard seeds and curry leaves and added tomato puree to it.

Then I added salt, sambar masala, and turmeric powder according to the taste and fried it well. Turned off the gas when the oil was released. Mash the boiled vegetable with the help of a masher and added this masala to it and added tamarind water. I left it to cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

After 10 minutes the idli was ready.
This is how I prepared this tasty idli, sambhar, and coconut chutney, which everyone at home liked very much. It was very tasty.

I am sharing some pictures of this recipe with you all. All these pictures are from my own camera. I hope you all will like my recipe.

Thank you very much friend for reading and commenting on my post.

This Steemit platform is amazing, I like it. This platform teaches us a lot.

This recipe tastes very good and wonderful. The combination of tamarind and coconut is very powerful.🙂
