My first Post in hind whale Community :If December Were a Person (inspired by my son)
Hi @hindwhalecommunity, I don't belong to any club yet, but I'm working hard towards it. Meanwhile, I don't want to miss the opportunity to tell you what a Venezuelan Christmas would be like if I were a person.
First of all, I would physically be a man with a belly of about 40 years old, married, with 3 children and a large family. He would be living in another country and would have saved all year to surprise his family that he hasn't seen in 10 years, with his family and all kinds of gifts.
Immediately his family would jump on him and his family at the airport. The children would be immensely trying to get to know their cousins and listen to all their stories, asking a lot of questions, while an adult would tell them "kids, quiet, you're interrupting the adults, we're on our way home, you're tired."
Upon arriving at the family home, the whole family would be there and the smell of hallacas, beer and music would turn Christmas tears into tears and laughter as he hugged the rest of his family with a "polar" beer in his hand.
The wife and children would eat and rest, but not Christmas, they would be sitting in the patio surrounded by family, drinking beer and spending money non-stop buying what was needed at home and more and that is: food and alcoholic beverages. Also music.
At around 5 in the afternoon, after eating the most divine pork and chicken salad in years, made by his mother and sister, they would tell him "man, go up and rest, we'll continue later", and Christmas would fall into bed with a deep sleep.
The next morning the nephews would be eager to know what Uncle Christmas brought them as a gift. The grandmother and their mothers would respond "these gifts are not going to be opened until December 25, with baby Jesus."
On December 24, the whole family would be wearing new clothes, even if they were bought on credit to be on par with Uncle Christmas and his family with imported clothes. The dinner table would be taking shape: the pig and the turkey in the oven, the women paying attention to the cakes, making the chicken salad, heating the hallacas and complaining that the ham bread lacks ham and they saw them buy it in another bakery.
The older people would have dinner early and retire to sleep, the rest would wait until 12 for dinner, a feast so great that on the 25th they would have breakfast and lunch with the leftovers.
A week later this scenario would be repeated again, gathering the family minutes before 12 a.m. To welcome the new year. While everyone takes out suitcases for the new year to bring them trips, others would take out tickets to have money all year and cousin María would be distributing the grapes that represent prosperity...
Christmas would be observing this happiness and traditions, many (paid for with their money, but he came prepared for that) praying inside, thanking God for what is truly important about the holiday: the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ according to the church of his childhood, his healthy family, the warmth, detailing every second of that moment and of the old house where he was born from the ceiling, to the cracks, at the stroke of 12, he raises his head full of tears that contemplated his memories due to the noise of his family. Happy New Year! and his mother's hug that takes him out of her head with a few humble touches on the man. Happy New Year, son! Christmas stares at his mother's bright eyes and delicate little face, begging in his heart that she lasts him forever! happy new year mom!
Wow, this is just amazing. Like I am really jealous of what Christmas would have been to you if it where to be human. You said something that caught my attention, you said on 24 of December, every family member will be on their new Christmas clothes even though they been bought on credit just to be on par with Uncle Christmas, that's really crazy but it's just the truth.
December has its own way of doing things, it's just different from other months of the year, December to me if it where to be human,I would have preferred to call her happiness, this is because, this is the only time every family wants to show love no matter what the situation is. Best of luck to you.p
🤭 Well in my country Venezuela we're really light and happy people, no matter the circumstances, so ¡imagine december! It's an excuse to eat and buy new clothes. We're latin, and Latin people are made of love for our family. Thank you for reading me in such detail I really appreciate it 🙏
I think this is a spectacular description of a Venezuelan Christmas person, like "the Ghost of Venezuelan Christmas" just beautiful 🎄.
You know it child!
Yes I do ❤️
