I received a call from my brother asking for my help in installing his new security systems at home. I didn't think twice about lending a hand, not only because he's a kind and deserving person, but also because helping others brings me joy. I was happy to assist him and make a positive impact in his life. I'll like to make it brief on how we went about the installation, the funny moments, and the obstacles we faced during the process. Let's start with the funny moments 😀

What really happened here? When we arrived at the welder's house that morning to take the protectors to the construction site, we met his daughter crying, because her breakfast was eaten by their goat😂. Can you spot the black longer-throat goat? I burst out laughing because that was unexpected, my brother with his kindness, gave the small girl 1,000 naira to prepare another breakfast.

The welder's house where the security barriers were located was quite far from the construction site, so we needed to arrange for transportation to convey them easily. We booked a vehicle, but unfortunately, the driver failed to show up after a two-hour wait, despite his earlier promise. We then decided to call a tricycle, which arrived promptly within 15 minutes.

With fuel prices skyrocketing in my country, we had to spend an additional 30 minutes negotiating the fare with the tricycle driver. After a prolonged bargaining session, we finally reached a mutually agreeable price of 10,000 naira to transport the security barriers to the construction site. As we made our way to the site, we encountered some unexpected challenges.

We were stopped by police officers who objected to the tricycle carrying the heavy security barriers, insisting that such loads should be transported on a lorry instead. The police officers intended to impose a 10,000 naira fine on the driver for breaching the regulations, but my brother's familiarity with the officers helped us avoid the penalty. Thanks to his connections, we were able to resolve the situation amicably, and the driver was let off without a fine.

Just a few minutes after we departed from the police checkpoint, disaster struck when the rope securing the protectors came loose, causing some of them to tumble onto the tarred road. Fortunately, there were no vehicles trailing behind us, which could have resulted in a more severe situation. We breathed a sigh of relief and promptly cleared the road, carefully rearranging the protectors to prevent any further incidents. The rope was tightened, and we continue our journey.

After driving for approximately 20 minutes, the tricycle's fuel tank ran dry in a remote area where petrol stations were scarce. We found ourselves stranded in a location where it was challenging to find a nearby fueling station. We had no choice but to push the tricycle to where we could locate a fueling station.

With the driver's tank refilled, our series of misadventures seemed to come to an end. Leaving the petrol station, we continued our journey and finally arrived at the site safely, without encountering any further obstacles or issues. Upon arriving at the site, my phone's battery had drained completely, but fortunately, the main objective was accomplished, the protectors were successfully installed, and my brother was happy for my help.
