Successfully carrying out various efforts or interventions to reduce stunting in their respective areas, three sub-district heads, three heads of community health centers (kapus), and three heads of UPTD KB in Bireuen received awards.
The award for this success was handed over by the Bireuen Regional Secretary, Ir Ibrahim Ahmad MSi, Tuesday (25/6/2024), in a series of events holding the '2024 Stunting Discussion and Simultaneous Intervention Kick Off' in the old hall of the Bireuen Regional Secretariat.
There are also sub-districts that received awards for their hard work in reducing stunting, namely the best sub-district category in implementing integrated stunting reduction intervention convergence in 2023, namely Peusangan Selatan District, Pandrah District, and Kota Juang District.
The puskesmas category was won by South Peusangan Health Center, Jeumpa Health Center, and Term Health Center.
Finally, in the best Family Planning (KB) UPTD category, the Kuala District KB UPTD, Gandapura District KB UPTD, and Jeumpa KB UPTD were won.
The stunting discussion meeting was attended by 100 participants ranging from sub-district heads, heads of community health centers, heads of UPTD KB, heads of Bappeda, and a number of other service heads, including representatives of village heads.
The meeting was also combined with a kick off of simultaneous interventions to accelerate the reduction of stunting in Bireuen Regency, marked by meeting meetings, reading commitments, and agreeing on activity plans, signing commitments, and minutes of stunting consultations.
Bireuen Regency Stunting Prevention and Handling Acceleration Coordination Team, Ir Mukhtar, MSi, represented by the Secretary of DPMGP-KB Bireuen, Irmawati, said that the aim of this activity was to convey the results of the situation analysis and design of an integrated district stunting reduction intervention activity plan.

Meanwhile, the aim of implementing the simultaneous kick-off intervention is to ensure wider coverage of measurement services, early detection of nutrition and health problems, as well as targeted interventions that address the risk of stunting accompanied by monitoring and evaluation.
The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, PhD, represented by the Regional Secretary, Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, MSi, said that through this stunting consultation, strategies and hard work must be developed from all elements of intervention services, both specific and sensitive, in accelerating integrated stunting reduction.
"I ask the Bireuen Regency Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS), sub-district TPPS, and gampong TPPS, as well as other stakeholders, to increase coordination and collaborate in making efforts to accelerate stunting reduction," he hoped.
For the sub-district heads as Chair of the sub-district TPPS to facilitate, coordinate the gampong, and ensure that interventions, both specific and sensitive, are accommodated in the Gampong Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBG).
