Mississippi State Bulldogs: Omaha Champs
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are national champions. It’s the first time that any team that has hailed from Starkville can make that claim. The Diamond Dawgs defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores in dominant fashion in game three of the College World Series in a 9-0 affair. Will Bednar and Landon Sims combined for a one-hit shutout of the Commodores, who just couldn’t seem to anchor down its defensive troubles in games two and three of the championship series after winning game 1 by a score of 8-2.

Welcome friend, and thanks for writing, it would be good if you shared more about those national championships, they are truly exciting games, that's where the future big leagues come from ... the sound of aluminum bats is unique! regards!
I look forward to it. By the way, I write about NCAA basketball and football with the same enthusiasm. My friend Dan Cronin's (fellow Bethel alumnus) brother is head basketball coach for the UCLA Bruins. The new offensive coordinator for Middle Tennessee, Brent Dearmon went to Bethel as well and is a Facebook friend. It was exciting seeing two teams from my home state go to the College World Series. Ironically enough, I have a few cousins who attend Mississippi St., and they wound up winning the whole thing.
Good, around here we can only talk about baseball, MLB college baseball among others, through steemsports if we can talk about other sports, in fact you saw Eli Manning's post, I think I'm going to dedicate more to writing about the NFL ... The University Basket is also very good ...
Not a problem. We'll respect the parameters.
thanks for your support
I look forward to learning more about what baseball is like around the world.
