Before the pandemic, the idea of remote working was kind of vague and few people paid attention to it. Most people assumed that those who worked from home were bosses of their business or downright lazy. With the pandemic came a whole shift from the norm to a new way of working, remote work. Remote work mean working for a company but outside the traditional office environment like your home, a coffee shop, a city across the world or a local co-working space.
The idea of remote work shifted from a choice to a must because with the pandemic the need for social distancing was real and businesses had to be ran still. The pandemic also opened our eyes to the fact that working from an office wasn't necessary but rather meeting goals and assignments no matter the location and it has continuously proved to be beneficial over and over again in different fields.
One major advantage remote working offers is flexibility. This allows employee and employers alike to be more productive and turn in more creative ideas. The stress of commuting or getting stuck in traffic which leaves people tired even before they start work is out. They are more balanced emotionally and mentally which helps to be more active at work. This also saves money that would have been spent on commuting and other expenses as a result of going to work. Employees can also move to cheaper neighborhoods since they don't need to turn up at work in a very expensive side of town which helps them save and be more financially buoyant.
Remote work also allows the company to pool more experienced and skilled people from anywhere in the country or continent. The skills on board are not limited anymore to the city the company is sited. This allows access to people of different backgrounds, perspective and thinking which helps to better expand and grow the company to meet more customer needs and satisfaction depending on the kind of business it is. This also saves the company the need to buy a big building or rent a large working space. With most employees working from home, expenses like parking space, electricity bills can be cut down for other projects.
Remote work allows employees work from wherever they feel more comfortable and relaxed which improves results. the feeling of being boxed into a cubicle with people you don't really feel comfortable with is eliminated and inspiration comes easily and more ideas are born. It also increases work hours because the more comfortable they are, the more they are ready to put in more time and effort. Plus distractions from other employees or the environment in which the company is located is also eliminated.
Overall, remote working has proved and continues to prove that it has numerous benefits to offer. Although, there may be one or more disadvantages but this can easily be taken care of by proper orientation of your staff on remote work, time management and how to reach their full productivity potential no matter where they may be working from.
Hello friend, as you say, in the past those of us who used to work from home were seen as lazy, but today the situation we live in has made it clear that it is possible to work remotely, we just need to manage the technological tools efficiently.

Hello @valchiz
Now more than ever this possibility of working from home is more valid. And this trend is increasing. As you say, from home you can generate jobs from and for any part of the world.
Employees who work from home report greater satisfaction with their jobs, as the stress created by an office environment is relieved. In fact, 25% of telecommuters report less stress.
Increased job satisfaction leads to employees who are more productive, more motivated and also happier with their job and the company they work for, which means they want to stay with that company longer and want their company to succeed. They even advise their friends to work in that company which is a major talent attraction point. Very good and interesting post, success
