Life happens - well, cut the crap! Control your life!
Quarantine life with several kids can be quite demanding, but yesterday I finally had some time with my wife, all alone. It was amazing. As we spoke, I asked her how she is doing with her goals for this year (each year, we write a list of goals for the upcoming year on December 31st). To be honest, I had the same thoughts as she had... "I don't even know what I wrote on the list."
Yeah, this has been a demanding and challenging year so far, in many ways. And yes, it feels tempting to say that life happens and we just have to follow along, but I do feel that it is very easy to hide between "sayings" such as that one. Of course, we need to go forth and live in isolation (if those are the rules), but it doesn't mean that we should throw aside our goals, our dreams, and our visions... and our good habits.
Don't blame your surroundings...
It is easy to blame your surroundings for what's going on. It is easy to blame people for what's going on and the failures and events turning in a bad direction in your life. But, I believe that we need to take the responsibility into our own hands. Don't blame others. They might deserve the blame, but still... it will not help you achieve your goals!
I am writing this post in Project Hope, a fantastic community on Steem and Hive, and if you have read about the founder @crypto.piotr or maybe read some of his articles or chatted with him on Discord, you will for sure know that he is passionate about the community and the vision of the community. He has clear goals, and he doesn't leave it to luck whether or not the community is growing and succeeding with its vision. No, he is working, he is training leaders, he is doing this with passion... and it can be seen on the community itself. But, if he wouldn't have a passion and the strength to work for it, then it wouldn't succeed.
A community will not grow by itself (I know this from personal experience). If you want to reach a goal, you need to work for it!
Learn... grow...
In my last post, I wrote about an opportunity to study and learn things online. It is really useful, and I am actually using it myself. I want to acquire new skills, and I want to be even better at what I am doing. But, it will not happen by itself. I have to work constantly to succeed.
You might be successful right now, but if you don't grow and expand your world, you might not be successful in a few years. We all need to grow continuously, and that will never happen by chance... it will happen because we have a clear goal of growth and work hard to grow.
Final encouragement
Get those goals up, work towards them, and do not let anything stand in your way (within the boundaries of what is reasonable). Everything might not go according to plan, but if you follow your dreams and goals, you will reach the destination in the way... but maybe on a different way than what you first expected!
This is an original article written by me for Project Hope!
Greetings friend, you know your words, nothing is free in this world and for that reason we have to work to achieve our dreams and goals. I would add to your content the religious part. Regardless of the religion to which each individual belongs, everyone needs to believe in something or someone up there.
I do believe in Jesus myself, and that is a faith that strengthen me every single day! It helps me stay strong, it gives me faith, and of course, it makes me believes passages from the Bible such as the one that telling me that everything will work for the good for those who believes (which includes me). So yes, that will always help! THanks for dropping by!
Hello friend, it is a very true publication, this year has been a torture for many while for others it has been the best, I think it depends on the perspective and what we are looking for. No one is responsible for our life and our happiness so we must take charge and improve our quality of life for ourselves.
For someone working online, it might have been a dream, bringing even more customers. But, for others... a nightmare! But, if we really work hard to succeed, I believe that even for others this might be a trial that in the end will open new doors and bring new opportunities forth!
Friend excellent publication, first of all we must have criterion and set clear objectives to move forward, as you say in your writing begin to work hard with much passion and dedication. I agree with you, in which the community is consolidated thanks to the leadership of @crypto.piort.
A pleasure to greet you and have an excellent week !
It is always amazing to have good examples and learn from others. We can do so here in the community, and also by reading books and so much more! One of the best ways to learn, and also if you lack inspiration where you work and live, then the online presence of some examples can often be of great help!
Life throws different things at us at different times, it is important to note that these things won't always be in our favour, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
You just put that tune in my head now... hope it will leave soon... or maybe not, it has a good message ! :)
It is always very easy for us to blame our environment for certain things but that is not healthy at all, we have to take responsibility for everything that happens to us, learn from them grow and then move on with life.
