Russian Energy Companies Begins Tracking Private Cryptoassets Miners

The companies in Russia that control energy, have started to track crypto miners who are private. And they're hunting down those people who are mining cryptocurrencies at their houses. Starting from on the 12th of May 2024.

There are plans made by the Russian Government Council Expert Council to make available new proposals for mining to the authorities. The aim of the lawmakers is to propose new crypto mining laws.

The new crypto laws will ban lots of private exchanges, and it will favor crypto mining by industries. The council intends to make these new crypto laws proposal available to the cabinet on the 16th of May 2024.

These private crypto miners will be identified by observing their electricity meter measurements. And there will be fines for those people who are mining crypto illegally. And the new crypto laws proposes that higher rates will be charged to these illegal crypto miners.
