Dead Time

This is a very good way to maximize your time as a businessman. We all have dead time during our day. Ooooh, what is dead time, right? Dead time is the ideal time you have when you are waiting for something, like when you on the train, on the airplane, in taxis, waiting in line for doctor's appointment, waiting in line for driver's license and more. I guess by now you know what dead time is. Those dead times are meaningless but you can make great use of it. Let's take for instance, you are on a train, you can bring out your eye piece and listen to a good audio ebook. You ain't waiting that time anymore, you are adding value to yourself. You may think it is nothing, but you start doing everyday, you will notice that you are reading 2 books in a week. You might feel its added no value in your life, my dear friend, it has added huge value in your life. You may be making decisions and think it's just your own self-thought decision, not knowing that your subconscious mind was making the decision for you based on a book you read some weeks or months back.

I know of one of my friend, a very bright guy. He's doing great now. When we were in school, while we were waiting for lecturers we would be reading something from his tab. Whereas the rest of us, will be chatting with each other and making noise, not maximizing our time. You ask him of anything he knows it, because he has read it sometime ago. He is older and more mature than his age because of the things that are in his head and mind. He has consumed so many knowledge that his soul is bigger than the rest of his mates. And how did he acquire so much knowledge, he was using his dead time maximumly. You can achieve a lot by using your dead time, it may be 10 minutes of the train or bus, or waiting for someone, or something, just don't stay ideal, use your time adequately and consistently, in no long time, you will surprised on what you have accomplished by using using your dead time.

Here is popular quote from Jim Rohn

Time is more value than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time. Source

PS: My birthday was on Tuesday, 23rd of Feb. A party was organized and it seems someone mixed the drinks with hard drugs, so that the party would be more lit. Me, my twin @kenny-writes, @menoski and few others(who are not on Hive/Steem yet) have been down for days. I'm glad I'm ok now, and it seems the others are getting better. Always ask if the drinks we are mixed when you are in a party, even if it is your very own party. I don't do drugs, so, my system reacted badly to it.

Hello friend, hey a good reflection, I think very few take into account that dead time, I think we can learn a lot if we take advantage of all our time to the fullest. Thanks for reminding us all that we are letting go, I think with this reading I learned a lot. Greetings!

Very good to read post that advise us on how we can manage our time being entrepreneurs, greetings and thank you for your contribution.

Hello @taiwo-writes.

Great content that you share with us on this occasion, I think that if something has an essential value for any entrepreneur is time, and therefore, your article represents a great value for that business field and for all of us.

Thank you for sharing such an interesting article with all of us. Best regards.

Hmmm.... This is really educative and I think I now know why most business men are always of the view of saying "time is money" most of the time which makes them hate to waste time whenever they are doing different things.

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💕💓

It was truly an interesting and educative series, which I read through.

If we should calculate our dead time for a month it would be over 30 hours. Imagine reading or learning about something of value to you. You sure would improve over time.

Great content I must say, keep up the good write @taiwo-writes

Hello dear friend, those periods you have regarded as dead time is very common in our own country and as a business man who is time conscious we need to make good use of those periods.

Time is of a great essence for a business man and rather than wasting a lot of time doing nothing in a traffic, we can spend that time on more useful ventures that will be of a better impact.
