Steemit: the path to getting upvotes and comments through engagement
First, I think one of the keys to getting people to find, vote and comment on your blog is for you to comment on their blog.
Second, if you comment I suggest you ask a question, which suggests you read the blog and have an opinion about its content.
Third, use their name like @pocket-change because the platform notifies you when some one mentions your name or replies to your blog with a comment. So using their name doubles your chance that they will notice you left them a comment. Thus increasing your chance of engagement.
Fourth, Seek out people whose interests are near yours or whose work you find interesting regardless of how it aligns with yours. For example you write about money. But you could still follow a photographer of airplanes, flowers or cities around the world if one of those things interested you.
Fifth, Remember, You are seeking engagement, people who like reading your work and you are looking for people whose content you like.
Sixth, Steemit is a social-media platform, so engagement so people discover you is key.
Seventh, The good thing about Steemit is there are about 1 million accounts.
Eighth, The bad thing about Steemit is that there are one million accounts.
Nine, Honestly, it might take more then one comment for people to swing over to your blog, but it’s a start.
Ten, be patient and always be the best version of you, when you write posts, write comments or answer questions. What you write becomes representative of who you are, and people will draw judgements based on your words.
After looking at your blog if I like the way you write or I find the subject intriguing. I will want to upvote it and read some of your other posts. And that all started with your comment.
Eleven, Exposure.
I also would recommend you join the a Community of like minded people, those people have already decided they like articles about money and your articles which now are seen by your followers will be be seen by almost ten to a hundred times as many people.
Twelve, If you comment on daily diary posts you can get engagement and an upvote from @steemcurator01 !! 😊

Interesting choice of topic, I must admit. I like your approach and the fact that you're promoting engagement between users. So great to have you on-board of our PH community :)
We shall never expect that others will invest their own time into reading and commenting on our posts, if we're not ready to invest some of our own time to do the same.
Most of all - we shall enter Steemit with right mindset. And seeking rewards shouldn't be our priority (As it often is).

Certainly this publication is very useful since it provides a guide of tips for those users who want to read their pots, for that I agree completely with your position, to achieve that you have to have interaction in the comments of other users, it is a slow work but when you least expect it will pay off.
