Is perfection an illusion that does not accept our vulnerabilities?

In these current times where social networks have an impact on the behavior of human beings, where in each profile of any social network of a person seems a version of his life that seems idealized, it is very easy for anyone to fall into the trap of thinking that the happiness and success of a person depends on reaching perfection.

The impact this has is that more and more people are incessantly seeking perfection, which at some point in our lives can be detrimental to our normal behavior and can even alter our mental health.

It is very normal that we see perfection as an illusion, since human beings are vulnerable to make mistakes, this perspective leads us to a second plane of reflection where we must think that if we do not get things perfect in life that is part of the essence of living, we go through good times and bad times, in bad times we make mistakes, so being imperfect is part of the essential stages in life to build experiences.

Why is it so hard for us to accept our imperfections?

One of the reasons is that we are afraid of being judged for being imperfect, besides thinking that if we show ourselves vulnerable to some actions, we can be judged as weak, while this leads to another fear which is the fear of being rejected.

As I mentioned earlier, there is an incidence derived from social networks, people see other people showing a false perfection, wanting to look like that model of perfection shown by social networks, in the end this comparison makes the person believe that it is not good enough, so it will always be latent is the non-acceptance of our imperfections.

I actually think our world have really focused on perfection so much that we didn't even realise that it is impossible
