Tips For Effective Online Marketing
The world is gradually turning into a global village and online presence has taken over a greater part of our activities including marketing. Here, we will be looking at tips for sustainable, effective and profitable online marketing. After all, the sole purpose of engaging in marketing is to maximize profit so as to grow the business.
1. Website - Your Online Presence
One of the tools of marketing your products is by having a website or leveraging on the websites of others (through affiliate marketing et al). It will be almost practically impossible to effectively promote one's business and services without a website or at least a weblog. Website can be seen as the digital frontend to access your shop.
It is not uncommon for potential customers to browse online to get more information about a particular product before they purchase them. Imagine if the product doesn't have an online presence, the information available to the potential customers will be limited and the product may lose customers. While creating a website for your products, there are things you should put into consideration. Here are some of them:
First of all, you need to outline the particular purpose your website is meant to serve, what it should look like (talking about branding) and the targeted audience for the website. You will agree with me that people need to visit your website for them to view the content, so you have to create the niche you're targeting.
After you have decided the purpose of your website, you have to decide if you want customers to buy the products directly from your website or just for providing information about the product.
2. Social Media Platforms and E-mail
We live in an era where the average person spends a considerable amount of their time on various social media platforms. No doubt, we have witnessed an increased presence of people in platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. According to this report, there is an estimated 2.6 billion active users on Facebook alone (not to talk of other media). You can actually leverage on this wider coverage of social media to market your products or to drive in traffic to your website where people can see the services you offer.
Social media has made it so easy for business owners to communicate directly (in a peer-to-peer model) with customers without passing through third parties. For example, it is easier to get reviews of your product on social media platforms (customers can drop them as comments on your social media handle).
Coming to the area of Emailing, it can also be used as a tool for online marketing. You can also communicate with your customers or potential customers via Email, but you should be cautious not to spam them with lots of unsolicited E-mails of a particular product, so as not to achieve a negative results. You can also ask your customers to sign up to newsletters so they can get updates on new services or new products.
One thing to understand in this era is that the whole world is fast going digital (just like E-commerce is fast replacing the traditional method of buying and selling) and for businesses to thrive well, they should also have online presence.

Hi @samminator
Finally I've found some time to catch up and read few previously bookmarked posts.
Thanks for sharing your experience in that particular field.
My impression is, that in current days very few people are still using email. I've been always e-mail kind of guy, never liked telegram and discord. I hated whatsapp. But this is how people mostly seem to communicate in current days.
So I wonder ... do you think emails still matter?
Solid read. Upvoted already.
