Having A Good Appearance
Most times, people tend to address you the way you appear and that includes your sense of dressing. There is a relationship between how you appear and how people treat you. You may not be lucky to have other opportunities to make another first impression, so you have to let your first impression to count and one thing that creates a good first impression is your appearance.
You will agree with me that there are clothes you cannot wear to a job interview for example, not because they are not good but because they will create the wrong impression of you in the mind of the interviewers. A friend of mine went to a job interview while he was in another town. In his defence, he did come with some corporate wears because he did not expect the job interview. He went in with a casual wear. Someone with a very brilliant result but his sense of dressing was so off that one of the interviewers told him this:
You should dress for the job you are hoping to get, not for the job that you already have.
You may have a very good attitude and a nice disposition but your appearance can compromise that. Remember, people will have to get attracted to you first before they will have a feeling of your personality. Having a good appearance goes way beyond just the clothes you wear. There are other things involved. Take for instance the way you smile; you will agree with me that your beauty can be enhanced by just smiling and it will make you to become more attractive.
Another one is the way you smell. Wearing a nice cloth and having a great smile but smelling weirdly will make a mess of your appearance. People use perfume and body spray for this same reason. You can also lay your hand on one to smell nice. It feels weird to see people think that using perfume is luxury. There are very cheap and affordable ones you can lay your hand on.
The next one is the way you communicate. Here, it goes way beyond verbal communication to even bodily communication like your facial and body expression. Your words may be saying something but if your expression does not fall in line with it, it may confuse the perception and judgement of people. It may interest you to know that some people can even read meaning from the way people walk.
Talking about verbal communication, you should also realize that what you say carries a far less potential consequence than how you say it. You may be making a point but how you say it may make you to lose points instead. This is why it has been said that knowing how to talk is an art that should be mastered.

Dressings always matters because it always go a long way in how you will be addressed. Some people have lost their job due to their mode of dressing
This is actually correct, a friend of mine once talked about how he was denied an employment because of the way he dressed. So appearance matters a lot. Thanks buddy

Even though the first impression is sometimes wrong but it is still very important tbh also the way you dress for a particular purpose will make a difference in how people are going to treat you. Great post!
