explanation about web 3.0
The first generation of the web spanned from its creation by the original BERNERS LEE in 1989 until approx. 2005, it was mostly a passive read-only web with minimal interaction between users and most of us just receive information. then came the WEB 2.0 where the web that we can read or write as in the social network Wiki and Blogs.
WEB 3.0 is another part of the next step It will be a semantic web or web of understandable data, combined with automatic interpretation of information, to provide users with a more interactive experience. But WEB 3.0 can also be a decentralized network, challenging the dominance of the tech giants by letting us be less dependent on some technology companies and traditional Internet infrastructure.
several years ago it was thought that the next generation of internet would be the semantic web BERNERS LEE was the one who created this term and he describes the web where machines will process content in a human-like way, namely there is a brain called the global brain where all data will be connected and understood both according to context and according to concept. although not the semantic web that BERNERS LEE envisioned this WEB 3.0 reverts to its original web form in many ways, wherein the web does not require permission from a central authority to send anything, and there is no central controlling node and therefore no single point of failure and no a button that can turn it off completely.
WEP 3.0 refers to the internet made possible by decentralized networks such as Bitcoin and ETH. The main innovation of these networks is the creation of a platform that is not controlled by any single entity.
The main advantage of WEB 3.0 is that it attempts to overcome the biggest problem resulting from WEB 2.0 collecting private data by private networks which is then sold to advertisers or even potentially stolen by hackers, with WEB 3.0 the network is decentral so no entity controls it and decentral applications are open. , decentralized openness of the web means that no one party can control data or restrict access. anyone can build and connect with different daps without permission from Central company.
- Anti-monopoly and Pro privacy
WEB 3.0 will support privacy and fight network monopoly in short we will see a complete change how the main theme of the world is privacy and decentralization, this step will be facilitated with the help of blockchain such as there is ETH and hyperledger and others.
- secure network
The WEB 3.0 feature will feel more secure than the previous web, this is possible because there are 2 factors that are distributed and also decentral, so hackers or exploiters will find it difficult to redeem this network, even though it can be done it will be caught because the situation is decentral.
- data ownership
Users can now easily trust WEB 3.0 because until now the data generated by users will be stored in large companies, whether it's on Google or Facebook and so on, and of course with the WEB 3.0 feature, users hold ownership of their respective data. respectively.
That's all I can share, hopefully it can add knowledge for beginners like me.
I've been seeing this latest news about Web 3.0 trending on twitter but it's quite surprising that I really didn't understand what it's all about not until after I read through your post. This is really impressive and I must say web 3.0 will definitely be a game changer in the digital (Internet) world.
Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💕❤️
hello @razzor,
one of the reasons why I consider that it will not be possible to reach these goals of privacy and decentalisation, is due to the demand for data by large companies, I doubt that companies like google or facebook accept data privacy, I think the only thing these companies want is that you validate your identity in order to centralise the information they collect about the person, from my point of view is the only thing these companies want.
hahaha, we can only see the current development of the blockchain world.
Greetings @razzor, I find it fascinating the enuciation you address about web 3.0, mentioning
"It is a semantic web or web of understandable data, combined with automatic interpretation of information, to provide users with a more interactive experience"
To the above we must add that in a decentralized network that provides greater security to users as the data is scalable over time.
Entertaining reading, greetings
