The search for truth and love

Source

If we consider suffering to be one of the great problems of being human, we find in ancient Buddhist and Hindu treatises two paths to transcend it.

Although a simplified summary, one of these paths focuses on the genuine search for enlightenment, while the other focuses on feeling and expressing love and wholeness, which also leads to enlightenment, but more quickly, according to the texts.

If there really is a shorter path away from pain, it would be logical to opt for it. However, these statements come from scholars and I am not sure how true they are beyond the fact that language helps us to describe phenomena in the world.

This approach can also be interpreted as a form of duality and division. In my opinion, when one is confronted with the nature of life itself, all these distinctions become meaningless.

Despite these reflections, I continue to investigate and, above all, to love. This is the central point of my quest. The experience of loving and connecting with the world can itself be a path to understanding and transcendence.

Life is a nuanced journey, and while theories and teachings can offer guidance, the true essence is found in direct experience and connection with what is around us.

So I continue to explore, learn and love, recognising that every step on this path is valuable and meaningful.

The search for truth and love are ultimately two sides of the same coin.
