LET'S TALK ABOUT BLOCKCHAIN AND WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT THIS TECHNOLOGY

Greetings dear readers, recently I have been asked about the blockchain and the type of work we develop there, so my answer has been very punctual however I would like to complement it through these lines of writing.

So the blockchain to my understanding, is an innovative technology that has captured the attention of many people in recent years. This technology has been used mainly in the creation of cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, but it has much broader applications that allow developing great advantages in terms of creating immutable digital records.

This means that once information has been recorded on the blockchain, it cannot be modified or deleted, which is especially useful in situations where transparency and security are required in the recording of transactions or data, such as in financial transactions or in the storage of medical records.

Another advantage of the blockchain in my view is its decentralization, as most computer systems are centralized, which means that there is a central control point that can be attacked or corrupted. In contrast, the blockchain is a decentralized network in which the nodes in the network work together to validate transactions and maintain the integrity of the record, which makes it very difficult for any entity to control or manipulate the information in the network.

On the other hand, the process of automating smart contracts has been the spearhead of this technology, which has revolutionized the way in which transactions are carried out. In this sense, smart contracts are assumed to be computer programs that can automatically execute the terms of a contract when certain conditions are met. This could significantly reduce the time and cost associated with brokering transactions.

In short, blockchain has the potential to be a disruptive technology in many areas, from finance to healthcare and beyond. As the technology develops and new applications are discovered, the relevance of blockchain is likely to continue to grow.

Now, beyond the above I would like to reinforce the medical field as blockchain has the potential to revolutionize healthcare, thanks to its characteristics of security, transparency and decentralization. Currently, the management of medical information is a very important issue in the healthcare industry, as medical records are highly sensitive and contain private patient information.

So one of the most important applications of blockchain in healthcare is the creation of decentralized electronic medical records, which would represent a crucial tool for doctors, as they contain important information about a patient's medical history, prescribed medications, procedures and test results.

Based on this, patients are in control of their own medical information and can share specific data with doctors or medical institutions as needed. Medical data is cryptographically protected and immutable, meaning it cannot be tampered with or deleted.

Likewise, drug and medical device tracking, the drug supply chain is one of the most critical areas in the healthcare industry, and blockchain can provide greater transparency and security throughout the process, medical devices can also be tracked and monitored in real time, allowing doctors and patients to make informed decisions about their use and maintenance.

In general, there are many potentialities, hence the strength of this technology and its appropriation in the future will be much greater.
