CHRISTMAS SONGS THAT INCREASE MY NOSTALGIA

The arrival of Christmas is a time when families get together and share traditions to the sound of good music, exquisite hallacas and desserts that can not miss, at least they are our traditions, speaking of Venezuela.

For many people, December is the best month of the year, especially for the little ones of the house, since the dates of the premieres and the longed-for gifts from the baby Jesus are approaching.

During that time, those of us who were far away looked for a way to return to our place of origin, which would be none other than in the company of our elders, speaking emotionally of our parents.

At this time, our feelings are extrapolated and we return to that small house, to the small town where we grew up and where the streets remind us of the fun of our childhood, there, where the arguments and fights with the kids on the block were normal and where the scolding and advice of grandparents, were a true demonstration of love made flesh.

At this point, the sound of the gaitas should not be missing in our house, but at the same time there are other melodies that remind me and fill me with nostalgia for the Christmas celebrations. That is why one of the lyrics that fill my life with emotion but at the same time with nostalgia, is the melody "Mi ranchito" by Cardenales del éxito, a music that reflects the Zulian feeling and the sadness of those of us who are far away from our roots.

From this song the phrase "My heart is moved when a downpour falls, it pours outside first because my ranch rains" is undoubtedly a truth for many and although we have had the opportunity to provide better conditions for our family, emotions overflow when listening to this beautiful gaita, which allows me to value my roots more every day, so that while I have life and strength to return to my village I will continue to do so.

Another of the melodies that cause nostalgia in my soul, is the music of Vos veis titled "Ven a mi casa está navidad" and although I am aware that Christmas is synonymous with happiness, family togetherness, celebrations and joy, I can not stop thinking about those who are no longer here, for example, my father, that charismatic and jocular person always ready and with a smile for everyone who left us a great legacy.

This song, although old, has become a kind of hymn for all those who for various reasons are far from their loved ones, longing to share the table with their family circle and unable to do so because there are miles of land that separate them.

Likewise, we find the song "Tu amor para esta navidad" is a lyric that encompasses all the feelings that I have mentioned previously in the writing and when analyzing such beautiful lyrics, I realize that all that nostalgia that I feel is translated into love.

The love that we want to transmit for a long time or that we wish to receive, that love that makes us feel the importance of family and how necessary it is to stay close to all our loved ones.

That love that Jesus demonstrated by giving his life for each one of us for the forgiveness of our sins, that sacrifice is the true act of love that we should emulate. So this song allows me to remember the true reason for the celebration of Christmas, which has to do with the birth of our Savior.

So beyond the adversities it is necessary to continue with those traditions that make us grow as people and make us value what we have. In this sense, these songs in addition to nostalgia allow me to generate valuable memories, so I hope you enjoy the melodies and have the opportunity to enjoy this Christmas with your loved ones.
